What stands out to you? A qb or wr or rb?
Herschel had a great 2nd half as a true Fr when no one knew what they had in him incl Georgia....that was one of my early games I attended. I forget how Emmitt or Bobby Humphries did. I know we shut down Bo. Garrison Hearst?
Many of us remember our teams greatest performers but what about against us?
The Deuce did us in I remember. Maybe a few times in his 8 yr career. Lol

Dexter McCluster ran amok on us the Kiffin year. That one was pretty bad.
Yep. That's the one that stands out in my mind.
Solid painful memory. Made us look like we had sandles on.
1986, Alabama RB Bobby Humphrey ran for 217 yds. and 3 TDs in a 56-28 rout in Neyland. Tide QB Shula only threw for 78 yds. that day. It was as much a team performance as individual I suppose, but Humphrey got almost all those yds. on toss sweeps. He ran it over and over. I was sick at my stomach every time they tossed him the ball. Tennessee wore orange shoes that day. Was it Nike then? Anyway those shoes were never worn again after that game to my recollection.
The old McCluster (expletive) game. This is the most recent one.
This isn't football; but, I was at the game against UK in Thompson-Boling when Jodie Meeks dropped 54 on us. That was not a fun ride home. Meeks was a hell of a baller though.
"What did he do? All he did was score!" - John Ward
Yep....that was the game I recall. It was toss sweep right and left and we never beat him to the sideline. Never have seen anything like it sense.
What was the guys name for Notee Dame back is the day? I think it was Ishmail Walker maybe? He killed us and he was pretty awesome
Yea I was there too.
Rocket Ismail.....Heisman winner.....forget the spelling but he could burn
Rocket Ishmail, fastest looking cat I ever saw play in Neyland. I held my breath when he got near the ball.
I was at that game. I'll never forget watching him on a kick return. I've never seen a human go from zero to 60 as fast.
Your asking a guy who had TOO much fun in the 70s n 80s, so my memory is a little hazy from those years... The End who played QB @ KY who made us look bad and cost us the last chance at a bowl... That hurt....

That's the one I was gonna say.
My two cents:
On November 22, 1997 Peyton threw for 545 yards and 5 TDs with no, that is, zero INTs in a 59-31 win against UK. (Actually Tim Couch had a decent day himself: 476 yards.)
On the same day Charkes Woodson had an INT in the end zone and scored the winning TD on a 78 yard punt return as Michigan beat tOSU 20-14. Woodson wasn't playing against us directly, but highlights of his game played on ABC/ESPN in a continuous loop while the UT-UK game was mentioned a few times. We all know what happened a couple of weeks later.
It will still be stuck in my craw if I live to be 100.
Mike Stonebreaker LB in the Notre Dame game 1990. Ismail had the punt the return in the 4th qtr that hurt, but Stonebreaker made big tackle after big tackle to keep us from scoring more. Our offense that year was incredible and it took an incredible performance by Stonebreaker to get ND the win. The bad call for the 48 Double Slam for the second time at the goal line to Pickens that Todd Lyght intercepted didn't help.
In 1995 when we crushed Mississippi State 52-14, their wide receiver went off and set a school record for catches in a game. I can't remember his name offhand but he was literally their only bright spot.
