Here is what it looks like in the Tri-cities neck of the woods! Already about 3inches!
Dang, it's snowing sideways there...
I'm jealous, it's sunny here in Nashville.
Still just drizzling rain in S.E. Tn.
I'm jealous. Didn't get any snow here in middle Tennessee, just rain.

It's snowing pretty well here in Birmingham

Parents still live in Big Stone Gap, VA. They getting hammered.
Cell phones aren't able to make calls!
No snow 35 miles south of Knoxville. Some sleet about an hour ago.
I left Birmingham at noon when snow started and going west on 78 got hammered around Jasper. Snowing so hard I could not see over 50 feet. About 4 inches on roads.
Apparently Chattanooga has been spared so far as well, but it sounds like Lookout and Signal Mountains got hit, as well as Cleveland and NW Georgia (Ft. Oglethorpe, Ringgold, Trenton)..
My wife still teaches. School was out at 1:00 today and she's hoping for lots of snow tonight so tomorrow schools will be closed. t's snowing here now. Pretty hard. 35 miles south of K'ville. Sloppy looking. Not cold enough.

I'm glad I'm not the one getting snowed on for once.
It's funny...out here no one blinks an eye at snow but if we get a heavy rain, people lose their minds. They drive 10 mph slower than the speed limit and talk about it for days.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Little snow man. About 2 or 2 1/2 inches in Johnson city!
I know it's not really a laughing matter for y'all, I did live in Knoxville for many years, but living up north makes me view snow reactions down there very differently now.
It's incredible how Indiana treats 3" of snow vs. how Knoxville treats 3" of snow. Very different situations. I've never had a class in college canceled for snow, and we've had near 2 feet of it during school before. I would enjoy staking out around campus and watch people try to drive in it though.
Stay safe, everyone! I'd loan someone my snow blower if I were coming down to Knoxville this weekend!
Cute pix. It's really coming down now.
Here are some from UT!!

Give Him Six!
I've seen college classes canceled twice in Anchorage in 16 years. The first time was after 24" of snow fell in 24 hours, and the second time was this past Monday because it rained all weekend and turned the roads into skating rinks (literally)...
