Butch Davis 3/1; Larry Fedora 15/4; Jim Tressel 9/2; Dan Mullen 5/1; Al Golden 21/4; Jimbo Fisher 7/1
Remember these are not mine.
Yea Butch get it done.
If Not Gruden -- Let's get Butch Davis and get going. Only other coach on the list that has demonstrated weight with 5 star players.
Hell at those odds, I'd take Golden (and might here shortly) because we at least know he is interviewing. Of that list, I would say Jimbo is my top choice.
I'd take Butch Davis. Davis can hold his own (X and Os or recruiting) with any coach in the SEC, including Saban. We just need to make sure the compliance department has an office next door to his office.
You and DC Vol are absolutely right. I'd take Davis into a big game against Saban and anybody else.
I would argue that Butch Davis is almost as big a name as Gruden (at least compared to anyone else on the list that i think is a realistic possibility).

REALLY???? I'm not a fan of Tressel, but I believe he got his fair share of 5*'s as has Jimbo Fisher at FSU. He got at least half a dozen guys we have been after the past few years to commit, many of those being high 4's and 5's.
I think both Tressel and Jimbo would disagree with that statement

OK -- Only coach who does not have a Show Cause penalty and that may actually come. I don't think Jimbo is going anywhere. He just wants a little more love from the FSU administration and faithful.

Golden 21-4? Never seen that
I think Butch would be great. None of the 'Canes NCAA stuff came on his watch and the 'Heels issues were not his fault. N.C. just fired him to try to placate the NCAA. The guy can flat out coach and recruit. At his current age of around 60, we'd be his last stop. Heck he made the Cleveland Browns winners as HC! If I am not mistaken he is the only coach to take them to a winning record since they started back up following the Browns departure to Baltimore.
