The truth is nobody really knows his future. Well at least none of us do. If the crimson and the cocks beat up on us he is gone.
This is a really interesting post. My gut tells me that Dooley gets another year but I don't think Feldman would report something like this unless he has seen some smoke. He has proven to me that he has good sources and when he says he "suspects" something then you must take notice because he isn't the type to make up a rumor.
I don't know, maybe the power brokers think that without a contract extension Dooley's recruiting would suffer regardless of whether he comes back or not. But there is no doubt Dooley needs a big win and for this team to play better. We've let two winnable games slip through our fingers. That is not acceptable.
The problem with giving Dooley one more year is that you're virtually locking him in as your coach for two years. Hart's not going to fire Dooley after next year because his buyout will be 4 million - I would suspect he'd just keep Dooley that last year. So going back to your point about recruiting, you have two years of uncertainty as opposed to one. Just my two cents
Yeah, exactly. I'm less and less certain he'll be back. I guess the jury is still out. He really needs a big win though.
