I thought Jimmy Haslam, the son, bought the Browns? Not Jim Haslam. Am I wrong?
"Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat." Sir Robin's Minstrels.
Bill's brother Jim. My bad. I call both the father and son Jim, as they're both older than me, and I should have clarified.
But I'm not sure it makes much difference. The whole purchase was always talked about as the "Haslam family" buying the Browns, but it's the same pot of cash, b/c Jim the Dad has basically handed off the DTD operations of Pilot Oil to Jim the son. "Jimmy" is the one really holding the purse strings, but yes, I'm sure that Daddy could still get anything paid for he wanted to.

After last night's game, I'll bet some fans would rather have a cache of pot, than a pot of cash.
As my wife also reminds me, sometimes I just slay myself.
