Ok. Ok. I still don't care for his shtick but Clay absolutely nails it in this article. I could not agree more!!!!!!
Wow! That's gotta be the best Travis article I've ever read. Thanks for sharing, and he makes some great points. +1
That was an amazing article.
not a fan of clay travis but that was a good article
that being said, I am not holding my breath and will not hold onto to the hopes this happens.....
I think our big time boosters will offer Gruden a deal he won't be able to refuse....
Big things are about to happen at UT.

Clay is a sharp dude. He's been saying this for a while, nothing new, just hope it transpires.
I personally like Clay, always laugh at his stuff....this is definitely a really really great article.

I tend to forget that Hart had a front row seat to see the Saban effect....
Let's see if he can repeat history...
There's nothing in there the rest of us don't pretty much already know, though. Would most of us, even those still for giving Dooley more time, trade for Gruden right now if it were a sure thing? Of course. Is Gruden a sure thing? No, but he's likely the closest thing to one who's out there.
I have never for a second disagreed with Clay's oft-expressed "Brinks truck/Gruden" wish, but he needs to be more realistic about truly making it happen.
Someone actually has to go to those big $$$ donors, who have heretofore been unwilling to part with enough of said big $$$ to hire a big $$$ coach, and convince them to collectively cough up somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 million over the next few years. If Hart gets this done, he is indeed the man, but not because he did the obvious and identified Gruden and asked him to come, but because he found a way to fund it when the athletic department is running in the red.

drizz, I think you've been feeding Clay some of your material. It looks very familiar, especially the part about 30K empty seats.
Clay is no dummy, true, but most people who are far from bright would like to have Gruden as our coach (although they can't do snark as well as he can). A very smart and/or very persuasive guy also goes out and finds the $$$ to get it done.
Lol don't have much else to say about this.
