Yes...he was embroiled in the Nevin Shapiro fiasco at Miami that involved improper benefits to recruits (the same deal cost Florida their wide receiver coach, Aubrey Hill). Apparently, he's got a 5-year show cause coming his way from the NCAA. If Strong chooses Hurtt over the Tennessee job, then he has no one else to blame and those folks that have been all over Hart for "blowing this hire" will get off the man's back.

Anything that may happen to Clint Hurtt is just pure speculation at this point. What I don't understand is why can't we tell Strong that he can bring Hurtt but if/when the moment comes that the NCAA penalizes him, he has to go. If he's not found guilty of any wrong doing, then he stays. Can the NCAA really penalize us for hiring a guy that has, at this point, only been implicated in the Miami scandal and not actually been found guilty of anything yet?
