I just want to take the time to acknowledge the impact that players Coach Martin recruited is having this year. J. Stokes, Moore, and Edwards have made significant contributions this year. Reese, Chievous, and Lopez show great potential. Good job coach
2013. Team 117. Beginning of the new Era.
Richardson has been great for us all year. Moore has really impressed me here lately. I have no idea why he starts, but Skylar plays most of the game in place of him. Moore brings so much more to the table than Skylar does. Every time the guy Skylar is guarding gets the ball, his eyes light up. Skylar simply cannot guard anyone we play.
I think I'm most impressed with Moore just from the perspective that no one had even heard of him when he committed, and now he's a starter. He's a guard that finishes at the rim well and he rebounds like a forward. Really impressive find by Martin. If he can improve his ball handling he could be the total package and an absolute steal.
Other than him, Richardson, and Stokes (who we all knew would be really good), I think the jury is still out on his recruiting. Like you said, Reese and Chievous have shown potential, but they have a lot of work to do before they will be impact players.
One thing I've noticed about Cuonzo's recruits is that almost all of them are above-average rebounders for their size and/or defenders. They're also all versatile players.
You can see the mold ... well, all of it except for the pure PG he hasn't been able to get yet.
