I know many of you have suggested that we are one/two recruits away from a chain reaction of commitments. I honestly agree with that assessment, depending on how the order or connection of those recruits falls.
Seeing a high-profile guy like North commit before NSD gives us great momentum. Hopefully it can give Levenberry or Miller the nudge to commit by the end of this weekend. That may lead to weighing Bell/Lawson/Ford decisions. Creates an "I'm all in" attitude among top players.
I'm afraid of losing guys like Lawson and even Bell. I don't want them to see our board devoid of splash recruits before their decisions. Recruiting momentum seems to be as flammable as cotton in a coal burner and it can go a long way in landing some of our more indecisive targets.

Good post. There is no doubt there are recruits out there that are the fence between UT and another school. I hope they see North's commitment and jump on the this side of the fence.
Having high profile recruits commit before national signing day helps out that is for sure. But on the flip side of that, how much does it actually help? I am not to terribly sure when Lawson, Ford, Miller or Levenberry are supposed to announce but having a couple of those guys commit may just take us in the right direction. I am guessing we will land Bell. All indications point to Bell committing to us. If Lawson announces after Bell I feel better about our chances.
With all that said.....it doesnt hurt having come guys commit to you before signing day....
Great post, with nice analysis. Agree and hope this the catalyst for UT to close strong! Not just a little "fire", but more like a forest fire reaction!
Agree it could be the start of a domino that starts the chain reaction. I've read some of the recruits have mentioned letting coaches know a few days before signing day of their decision. Do you think CBJ is using this to his advantage and wants them to announce on Feb. 6 and have a big moving day? It would be great publicity for them to all announce Tennessee. I can't tell if this is something CBJ would want, but it would definitely stir a lot of excitement. Obviously makes the next few days before signing day stressful for us fans. Be great to get some of these recruits on the fence and make the move to Knoxville!
