Cuonzo just started speaking.
Senior Writer, govols247
Cuonzo: Trae Goden and Skylar McBee are "starters," but they need to play better and shoot better.
Cuonzo: Maymon should be 100 percent practicing by the end of this month but will still redshirt.
Cuonzo: Stokes played his best game of the season against Memphis. Just needs to keep plugging away, improving.
I'd bench them now anyways. I would like see both come off the bench till they get their stuffing together...
Cuonzo: I don't think Trae Golden's shoulder is bothering him too much, but you'd have to ask Trae. Just think he's not shooting well.
Cuonzo: "I feel good when teams play us in a zone."
So at least one person does, FWIW.
Cuonzo: "Looking at (Derek Reese's ankle) this morning, I think he'll be ready to go Wednesday."
Cuonzo said before Maymon was out, he thought UT and Ole Miss had the best big men in the SEC in terms of proven quality.
He's joking, right?! Wes, please tell me he's joking... this has to be coach-speak
Last time I felt good about being zoned was when Lofton was here!
"Never take for granted what it means to be a Volunteer." Peyton Manning
Really? Cause I get nauseated.
I think JuJuan Smith was the key against a zone cause his shooting helped keep two guys off loften most of the time. I actually liked JJ a lot better than Lofton but both were excellent.
I'm ok with Golden starting just because of the lack of other options, but I'd like to see McBee drop down an McRae become a strarter. I love McBee but his injury is makin him pretty ineffective from 3.
