I'm fairly new to the CheckerBoard so forgive me if this has already been addressed. But why aren't we hearing more about Dan Mullen? I'm not saying that I'd have him at the top of my list by any means. And I realize that SEC coaching experience does not matter a whole lot. But the guy has done extremely well at Mississippi State--considering the fact that he is at Mississippi State lol.. I think he's like 29-21 or something over the last few years. And I realize that's not great, and that Mississippi State's out of conference schedule is usually weak. But nevertheless, the guy has made Mississippi State somewhat relevant. I just wonder what a coach of his caliber could do if he was at a school with a richer tradition like Tennessee. Like I said, I'm not saying I'd take Mullen over Fisher, Strong, Patterson, etc. I was just sort of curious to hear everyone's take on him and maybe hear some of your opinions as to why it seems that Hart isn't that interested in pursuing him?
His best wins this year were over TN and MTSU with his most talented and "proven" team. I don't think anything more needs to be said.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Major thing in my book is NCAA issues. He had an assistant resign 2 weeks prior to the season. Of course it was for "personal reasons" and unrelated to the NCAA looking into some of his recruits.
Dan Mullen hasn't proven enough in my eyes. Show me one big win. Then I am on board.
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
And he got spanked around by Ole Miss this year. I don't want Mullen either.
