Yes losing Jay Graham hurts but it is not as monumental a loss as people are making it out to be. I do feel like someone punched me square in the mouth because I thought Graham was as committed to UT as UT was committed to him. Obviously not... But there are plenty of good options available for the position and we will hire a good RB coach I'm sure of it.
Also other than MarQuez North Jay Graham had not reeled in many major players in two years for UT. He earned his reputation leading Marcus Lattimore to national recognition at USC but we don't have those type of RBs right now at UT so I think as long as we find a solid hire our running game should be good this year.
This is a loss but this is no reason to get down on Coach Jones or the rest of the new staff
Guys...this is a HUGE loss. I don't know how you don't understand that. Graham leaving absolutely destroys any credibility left in the "VFL" program; and it strips us of our best recruiter. Not to mention the fact that Graham would have done wonders with Neal and Lane with a second year to work with them.
This is absolutely shocking, sickening, and just plain AWFUL.

Im talking just coaching staff personnel.
I completely agree with you that VFL is done. Tee doesn't come home and now Jay Graham leaves. Basically this is a confirmation to a very loyal fan base that some of the people who played here don't have the same sort of tunnel vision loyalty we have as fans. I understand they were business decisions but you would hope that love of UT would have brought Tee home from a sinking ship at USCw and kept Jay Graham here.
Now Butch is going to have change the rhetoric and just go with what we have to sell not selling this UT loyalty thing to recruits.
Idk if we keep the VFL program which I thought was great and the slogan. But the words do seem very hollow now
