Strong got an extension and raise from Louisville. He's staying put.
If true..."son of a Butch".
Just turned tv on and that's what they said.
ESPN doesnt know anything more than anyone else at this point. They dont get down and dirty with coaching searches so it's not as if they're privy to more info than our media outlets.
Don't say butch on here, He'll be the laughing stock of the SEC.
Dude it's not even on Espn !
I agree. I would however take Davis over Jones.
Apparently on Around the Horn, all the "experts" said Strong should stay at Louisville...WHY????
They offered a raise and extension. No word on his answer.
They said it right before they talked about it on around the horn. I really don't care if you believe me or not but I know what they said. I don't know if their right but it's way they said.
Why wouldnt he stay in Louisville? Easier conference, they are going to upgrade the facilities, making promises of pumping money into football. Pay raise and extension.
That is why Jimbo Fisher is staying at Louisville and Gundy staying at Ok St.
Lets face it....we are going to have to get lucky and hire another Dooley and pray he is the newest 'up and comer'.(sorry I know I know, I am a debbie the downer, I deserve a downvote)
He's not lying they said that he was staying put I saw it. I guess they misinterpreted the fact that Louisville has offered and thought that he had agreed already? .... very disappointed in them for that.
Thank you ograngevfl
I backed up on my DVR and recorded it but I can't upload it.
Their website quotes sources tht they are negotiating an extention to keep him. But the story is carefully worded and never says for a fact that Strong is staying.
Louisville is negotiating on a contract extension with Charlie Strong to keep him with the Cardinals, sources told ESPN.
ESPN will report whatever happens 30 minutes after the news hits Twitter, you can basically bank on that.
