Ha! The Leftwich debacle comes to mind, that was funny. But, my friend i have talked about this a lot, i think the VIkes should trade down twice (once with Skins, and then another time.) Then, they could pick up either an O-line, CB, or WR. After that, they could start building some depth. I would also like to see them had some speed to the running back position.
Good Ole Green, one of my favorite all time...
Man, people should have supported the kid. It was obvious he was a mixture of Young and Vick, in terms of potential. I know the Camgate made some people sour, and him going to Auburn, but i never understood people knocking him on accuracy.
Definitely want another receiver. Draft or maybe Meachem. Alshon Jeffery if he has the speed. Need a big WR to play across from Smith. I think Shockey likes it in Carolina but if someone makes a better offer he could leave.
I think Dwight Jones could be an interesting second day pick for the panthers
Thanks for posting, Dean. Feel free to chime in on the board more often!
Your team. All the time.
I'm kind of the anti-bandwagon bandwagon fan. I like whoever is getting hosed. I was sad to see the Lions finally put a team together. I could never love the colts though. I know their losing ways is just a phase. I can usually reliably root on the vikings (except for the 1 good Favre year). Cincinatti used to be my other go too bad luck franchise, but they're on the move too. :( Oh well.
But that is just it, you have to be super accurate in the NFL. He just didn't show it all the time in college. Also worried about the way they called plays for him at Auburn. He really didn't have the "vocabulary". It was the Oregon board that they used. I really don't expect NFL teams to use a picture of Madden or an orange to signal plays. Gruden even got on him about it before the draft. Physically he is amazing. I have been worried about his propensity to study. Caught cheating on exams at Florida. But I will be the first to say I'm wrong so far about him.
See, i thought he was more accurate than people thought. I just watched him a bunch, and he released it well, showed great arm strength, and showed the timing that was necessary. He completed 66 percent of his passes, which is influenced by short throws, but you could tell that he had the IT factor. The idea that he was not a hard worker or studier comes from people not liking him i think. Was he perfect in the character category? No. But, he took a relatively average Auburn team and made them win a National Championship.
You do not improve accuracy that much in the nfl, but it can be taught with footwork. However, you cannot teach winning in the NFL, and this kid has been a winner.
Just differing views, but i just had a different view then most on him.
I'm going to go with whatever team Peyton manning is playing for at that current time! I don't really follow the nfl but I do like to follow former

TITANS TITANS TITANS. Kinda surprised there wasn't more Titans fans on here. I admit it took awhile to get onboard. (I actually hated the Oilers), but I'm a full tilt Titans fan now.
Trample the Weak-Hurdle the Dead
Your remarks are accurate and I don't disagree with them. It was just the cloud of controversy that hung over his head that spotted his season. Plus, he did play for Auburn. But in the Carolina uniform - Go Cam! And oh yeah, GO VOLS!
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
As a kid growing up in the 90's I loved the Cowboys, but as soon as we got the Oilers I jumped ship real quick. I always wanted Tennessee to get a team. Been a die hard Titans fan ever since.
I miss Wycheck.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
I can not explain how much i hate Auburn, and wanted to dislike him because of this. The controversy worried me, so i can understand that point, too.
Cowboys... my least favorite team of all time.
Da Bears! Been a fan since the days of Butkus and the Monsters of the Midway.
"Never take for granted what it means to be a Volunteer." Peyton Manning
I've live in Jacksonville, FL for 15 years and have had Jaguar season tickets for 10. GO JAGS!!!
Hate the Colts and the Titans!!
Interesting... What are your thoughts on Gabbert?
I really like him. A lot was thrown on him last year and everyone blamed him for WR that can't catch. He has some growing to do but, I like where we're headed.
Dallas Cowboys. Grew up watching Tony Dosett. Danny White, Bill Bates, etc and been hooked ever since. Pray to God we draft some dbs. Secondary was horrible.

Same for me, unfortunately...... Things have been real bad every since Mr. Snyder bought the team....
I used to be a Titans fan, but Bud Adams has cured me of that. I still root for them, I guess. I'm pretty apathetic about the NFL. I like how Belichick can win with anyone. I like the Raven's committment to defense football. I like Aaron Rodgers doing anything but State Farm commercials. I like watching Dallas and Washington flounder despite spending all the money they possible can.
Mostly I sit and watch the RedZone and take naps on Sundays
I'll hang up and listen.
I mostly watch the Redzone channel now also....
none. don't care much for professional sports. was fun to follow when I gambled and bet games but once i stopped (over 20 years ago) lsot interest quickly. I read stories on former Tennessee players but generally pay little attention to pro sports. guess I pay most to NFL by watching Super Bowl game.. sometimes...
