Wide Receiver U has produced a ridiculous array of pass-catching talent. Who is your favorite UT receiving legend?
Mine, in no particular order:
Who are yours? What are your favorite memories? I'll never forget Play Number One against Alabama. I sat in the UT section and watched drinks rain down in celebration as Kent crossed the goal line and stunned the Tide faithful. At that point, it was the biggest Vol win I had experienced in person. Manning and Kent started things off on a dominant note, and that play set the tone for a memorable night.
First play of the 1995 Tennessee-Bama game.

Alvin Harper! The man could jump out of the stadium and ran like deer.
I remember being in high school watching Robert Meachem make big play after big play...But being from Memphis I must be honest Cedric Wilson made me fall in love with UT football as a kid being the neighborhood hero for all youth players at the time...so I must go with Cedric Wilson
Seivers, Gault, Harper, Pickens, and Price are probably my top five but Patterson is just truly unreal. Have to say I also have a soft spot for Craig Faulkner. If it got near him, he caught it.

Man I miss Peerless Price! What about Jason Witten? I know he was a TE, but he caught like a receiver, and still is!

Peerless Price by far my favorite recieved of all time. I remember going to my first game ever and watching him run by defenders like they were sitting still. And your right you can't forget Witten. I'm from Bristol and I remember watching him play against my brother in high school. He was a men among boys
JJ McClesky and Craig Faulkner were both great at their roles!
I loved watching all three of these guys
I still remember Faulkner and those one handed catches across the middle!
Carl Pickens was my favorite to watch. He toyed with db's. He would have been great at whatever position he played. Played both ways as freshman and was defensive MVP of the Cotton Bowl against Arkansas. We have had some great ones but he was definitely a man amongst boys.
ill go with
Solid list. Gault speed wise, was on another level than anyone else I've ever seen at UT, and still a freak of nature for his age.

Anyone remember TD Woods always liked him Craig Faulkner was fearless over the middle for a small dude
Carl Pickens... followed way behind by Simply Peerless and Joey Kent
I cant beleive no one has mentioned Tim McGee. I thought he was awesome.
If TE's are considered, it's Jason Witten for me.
I've always had a love for the TE position. Frank Wycheck is my favorite football player of all time, college or pro.
As for pure WR's, I've got to go with Peerless Price and Robert Meachem.

my faves are kelly washington, James Banks, Nukeese Richardson, and DaRick Rodgers all were great 4 year players and models citizens and knew exactly what it meant to be a team player and a vol
