How can you scream fire Dooley. I understand this is an awful loss, but it's not all Dooley. He can't control how his team plays and turns the ball over in crucial times. Another big thing for me is there are no leaders on this team. Nobody steps up and makes a impact play. That dropped interception would have been the biggest play of the game but he didn't step up and make the play. That's just my two cents. I understand why everybody in frustrated. I am to but it's not all on Dooley.
Can you give me a reason to keep him other then he wasnt on the field playing? dont worry ill wait....
Dooley is responsible for the product on the field.. It is his team. I dont know what to tell you if we cant win this game with two weeks to prepare for it...
The 2 weeks to prepare is what stings. When you play that 1st half on defense like you didn't even look at Miss St film that is concerning. The mental mistakes on almost every play were there.
Says The Wizard of Oz!
They had our number in the first half, so it seems like we shoulda game planned them instead of vice versa... #coaching
For the first time, I'm starting to agree with drizzle. Just not willing to go through another 4 years of rebuilding. Really feel like punching a wall right now. 49 years old and I should not be this pissed off over a football game, but in 40 years of following this team, I can't remember being this pissed off.
Miss state isn't that bad of a team. We say we have expierience but we don't have enough expierience for big time game. Bray hasnt played a full season yet. Hunter hasn't played a full season either. Yes they are superstars but the pressure of a game like that is overwhelming. There are no leaders out there. You look at miss st and the leader of the offense is the Tyler Russel. On defense the leader is Banks and both of them make big plays. Who on Tennessee is a leader?
Dooley has to get his players to lead. He's spent too long making excuses for them. Right or wrong he helped nurture a losing attitude.
I agree. I honestly think Chaney closes his eyes and picks a play. Play calling to me was horrible tonight. In the second half it got better we started running the ball. They use CP on end around and put him in the back field. He needs to be the go to guy from now on. He is honestly the only play maker we have.
I think the biggest coaching decision that CDD has made is switching to the 3/4 defense with a new DC with no experience at that position in the SEC and also so thin at the linebacker position. Thats the only problem i have with CDD. I have stood behind him and supported him 100 percent but now im down to about 60 percent
I'm not supporting Dooley because I think that we are better than what we have played on D this year. BUT look at how bad GA was its first year under Grantham.. AL struggled its first year under Saban.. I think we should play better overall but every team in recent memory that has went to 3-4 has had major growing pains. Not just us.
It is a rough transition and it just so happened to be the year that we had all the weapons to be good. That's how it goes sometimes. I think our d showed potential. They only gave up 4 total yards of offense in the third quarter. They just have to get consistent with it.
I agree with this. It was a gutty decision to hire Sunseri and go to the 3-4, and it may be similar to Fulmer's ill-fated decision to hire Clawson. That said, I will continue to support Dooley.
I was at the game. I think our playmakers lost us the game. We get to caught up in emotion and lose sight of the big picture. Our guys are so hungry for a win they can't control themselves. I think a lot of times we psych ourselves out and beat ourselves. This team does have heart and I think they play like the coaches coach them. Unfortunately that's not very good at the moment.
You guys complain about the lack of leadership, but does that not start with the head coach?
