That Bill O'Brien is one of 3 serious candidates for our job. Also says GoVols247 has reported Gruden is no longer a candidate.
Does it concern you all that people may interpret that as you all asserting that O'Brien is a serious candidate even though it's been made quite clear his buyout pretty much precludes him from consideration?
Yep, he has a $9.2 million buyout. Based on one year of head coaching experience he wouldn't necessarily fit Hart's guidelines. His success this year was a heck of a story though.

I would be so happy if this happened. this guy is my number 1, even ahead of gruden.
My point was more so to point out to W/R/K that their affiliate site was reporting something contrary to them. With Wes being more connected locally than their national guys I thought they might want to address it with them.
This would piss me off if I'm Wes
Wes reported that O'Brien's name had been mentioned again in connection with the Tennessee job. And I am sure the national guys are closer to O'Brien than Wes is. I'm sure this is coming from O'Brien's agent and he is probably looking to jack up his salary. I hear he is a candidate for several NFL jobs and that buyout won't scare the League.
I would love to have O'Brien, for some reason I think it will be Jimbo.
