Like most coaches, at least most smart coaches, Tennessees Derek Dooley refuses to be pinned down on what realistic expectations are for his Vo
+1 Great article. Thanks for the link!
"Never take for granted what it means to be a Volunteer." Peyton Manning
I loved his quotes about the KY loss and how he takes responsibility.
It is a good thing that last year's seniors are moving on. I'm sure it was frustrating for them. They were products of a defunct recruiting class of a coach no longer with the team. Things haven't been real good for their time in the program, and many were probably upset with all the younger guys playing more. A bad couple of years, but hopefully we are moving beyond all that. I see the program having a good mix of vets and young talent. Leadership and enthusiasm should be much higher this season.

BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Great find. Thanks +1
I was reading this article and thought it was very good.
Since the Kentucky game I have listen to the argument that it was the players vs it was the coaches. I have always said the players didn't make the plays, but the attitude has to be on the coaches. I'm so excited to hear Dooley say that below. Tennessee has a coach that I think really "gets it" I hope that he can turn the program around this year and keep people from this "hot seat" they say that he is on. Of course saying he understands and changing it are 2 different things, but other articles suggest that he understands that too.
Derek Dooley - “And to go and look disinterested when you’re one win away from being bowl eligible is inexcusable, but that’s my responsibility. When a team looks like that, it’s 100 percent on the head coach. I believe that.”
