"Knoxville Sports Media "get off their ass & not be spoon fed by UT" He is adamant that his source is correct that Gruden wants to be the coach at UT, as of last night.
Dude is speaking the truth. Said he would say it to Hart's face too.
Source to Hargis 'If this doesn't get done, it will be a damn shame. Because it's so close.'
Now that's how you double down.
Still going on now. He says that if Gruden is not the next UT coach, then fault lies entirely on the University. He says the hold up was on pay of staff. Says Gruden wants to be the coach.
Hargis just cited Wes Rucker as a reference to his credibility.
Oh man. He's going to burn some bridges. He better slow down and stay off radio today. If he's confident, let the story speak for itself.
And Mike Strange among others.
To double down like this he must have someone sitting in the "room."
He just said that he "assumes that people are going on a hunch" because of the lack of available information.
What do you mean by he cited Wes?
He said that Rucker, Strange and others in the K-town media that he's worked with would vouch that he wouldn't risk his credibility by printing hear-say or conjecture. That is a paraphrasing of what he said.

If this coaching search isn't over soon im going to loose my job following The CheckerBoard
He said to ask Wes Rucker if he is a credible reporter and that Wes knows he would not print a story without having a solid source backing it up. He mentioned a few other reporters as well that would back up his credibility.
he is referencing others by saying that they would vouch that he doesnt write about rumors. not that he said he got the information from wes or anyone else, he didnt name his source
He challenged "anyone to find anything he's written in 23 years that wasn't factual and didn't have rock solid sources".
Edit: He better have someone sitting in the room.
He is not fabricating this story.
This is just crazy... just proves nothing is finished until we get an official press release saying so
Not saying he is. Totally believe someone(s) told him what he's reporting, but I question every source for every reporter including W/R/K if that person isn't in the "room" with either Hart or Gruden, on this one. I think most of the guys reporting generally have reliable sources and confirm the information with reliable sources. Something is wrong with this coaching search. There's enough conflicting information to conclude that some or none of these sources are close enough to know what's going on. Of course they all could be right and the opinions and positions of Hart and Gruden are changing on average every few hours.

Boosters just played their hand, via Hargis. I Love It!
Yes but listen to the man, this is a major and reliable source in his mind.
Patience is a virtue.
