"Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat." Sir Robin's Minstrels.
"Humorless." Now that's humorous!
Bama pays Saban in the ballpark of $5 million. They now have something like $380 million in reserve and have updated their facilities too. You have to spend money to make money. Give a coach that is worth it $5-6 million and in 2-3 years you will have to expand the accounting department and Tennessee Fund to keep up with the money coming in.
yea he is funny in his redneck sort of way, btw thanks for calling me stupid which you did in your previous comment. I like people who stereotype there humorous, not humorless
Exactly. Kiffin created a buzz when he was hired. Imagine the Gruden buzz. Charge 10 bucks per head for the O and W spring game and sell it out next year equals 1 mill plus concessions. A Gruden hire gets a serious bump in donations and season tix sales. Plus I believe we will have more coming in from future TV deal as well.
IMHO, Hart can't afford not to hire Gruden or a big name guy.
Also IMHO, even if we win out, our current class of recruiting is not an all star glass, there is still a cloud over CDD and donations and tix sales go down.
All a shame because I like CDD.
If we end the year 8-5 with a bowl win and CDD stays, do we really have a fan base that isn't coming to games next year? Even this year, if we beat Scar and Troy, are fans not showing up against Mizzou?
+1 and Amen brother. I'm sure Saban's salary would have strapped Bama a little bit as well in the beginning but some donors probably stepped up and helped out and now look...... Talk about a return in an investment.
