Grunt, there is only one translation that I can think of for this one:
Yee-haw!!!! Toilet paper-detergent-toilet paper!!!!
Nick Saban thanks God every day for the fact that Bubba will tell his "ol' lady" to throw a little extra water in the pot of beans because the price of season tickets went up.
Even though "Li'l Bubba" needs braces for both his teeth, it will have to wait. Big Bubba needs a new Atlanta Braves hat...oops, sorry, I didn't notice the little "flair" out to the side on the "A", that must mean it's a tide hat...
Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.
My apologies. I will do my best in the future to not be civil.
Let me add that a 10-9 record in the last 19 games doesnt count as "owning" anyone. I will also add that simply being alive for games doesnt mean much as you dont watch/remember football until later in life... lets say around 8 years old for families that are big football fans. So the games in which they MIGHT remember the record would be 8-3 in favor of Bama.
In reality, the players on our teams probably dont remember a UT victory because most of them arent fans like us and only start watching games once it has a chance to impact their future collegiate careers.
Im not, however, a fan of taking only a small snapshot of history to make an argument... barners do that, and nothing barners do is worth copying. So I'll just focus on the 50-37-8 record. (g)
As far as this thread is concerned... the only two fan bases that should be made fun of are the barners and corndogs. One has the tradition of Georgia Tech and the arrogance of Alabama... and the other is half infested with young drunken cajuns that should probably all be on a reality show so the rest of the world can watch in horror/amazement.
I know its all in fun, but the whole incest, education, and jokes of the sort are pretty ridiculous considering an invisible line placed by the government dictating what land "belongs" to who... doesnt actually make the people on either side any different. If we have these problems... so do you. Im reality, GA never gets made fun of, but outside of Atlanta they have a higher number idiot rednecks than anyone on this side of the Mason Dixon line.
Im talking too much again... so I digress...

Ha! He's not my babysitter! I'm a grown man, dangit. He just tells me what I can and can't say. And he sometimes scolds me when I get out of line. And he takes money for tending to me....but, other than that, he isn't my babysitter....
Hahaha, oh dear, didn't realize how wrong I was. Ha!
As a UT and Braves fan, I hate when people get it confused. Just because it's an A on my hat, doesn't mean my mom is my aunt.
At least bantering with you has been more entertaining than bantering with Candy fans. Something we can all agree on is that we are the two winningest programs in this league, and that when we are better the sport is better.
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
And Vandy=Barn.... neither will ever be as good as the big brother... even when they beat us, we still exist on a higher level in the college football world. Its called relevance. Besides, without the constant cheating... the barners would have the historical W/L record of Vandy in the SEC.
There can absolutely be (and should be) mutual respect between our fanbases; we're the two winningest programs in the SEC and both are top-10 in all time wins. I think the way y'all feel about Auburn (the pesky little brother) is in the same vein as we feel about Vanderbilt; the inferiority complex of those programs is, at times, quite comical. However, with Vanderbilt's very recent - and what will be short lived - success, they've become quite annoying. I'm sure y'all felt the same way during Auburn's run in 2010.
Between UA and UT, I honestly think things can be kept respectful and civil. I agree that the whole incest and education crap is in very bad taste. Some of the most intelligent, well-mannered people I know are from Alabama. I think we ought to wish each other well until October, and then bring the knives out.
"What did he do? All he did was score!" - John Ward
Ok, "Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier!" (You couldn't beat Ali even if he had Parkinson's, and was dead), thank you for refraining from civility, it is much appreciated. I'm not sure I could handle dealing with a bama fan that didn't require Preparation H.
According to the Internet Rules of Pwnage, a winning record against a Alabama for the last 20 years does allow us to claim "owning" bama. Sorry, rules are rules.
And you are not allowed to arbitrarily pick a starting year to compare won-loss records between the two schools, that's my job. Because since 1929, the University of Tennessee has won more football games than any other team in the country. It changes if you change it to a year earlier or later...so I won't.
And, I understand what you are trying to say, but, "I know its all in fun, but the whole incest, education, and jokes of the sort are pretty ridiculous considering an invisible line placed by the government dictating what land "belongs" to who... doesnt actually make the people on either side any different..." sounds more like you trying to pick up a date at the family reunion than trying to convince someone that you not an inbred illiterate that wants to fit in...sorry, man.
I concur. Hate happens when one side is getting dominated in the series. (or a coach is trying to take down the other program through the NCAA single handedly) If you guys get competitive again without us having to suck, the hyperbole will subside some and respect will start creeping back into the conversation.
I found this to be accurate while reflecting on our down years. I hated LSU for a while there... then once we were good again, I realized I respected the competition they provide and only hated getting our butts handed to us by a superior team.
The lean years suck... but what makes the great programs great, is that they always come back. When mediocrity is the exception and not the rule, you get to brush off the bad seasons. Thats something that the people in Nashville and west Georgia dont get to do, at least not sanely.
+1. Appreciate that we finally had an Alabama fan come here and make a respectable post. That's what the board is for. Not trolls.

"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
Dammit, man, stop it! We can't have non-belligerent discourse with bama fans, it's against the laws of nature!!!! It would be like marrying your aunt...oh, crap. I get it now....
Haha... well played.
"sounds more like you *ARE* trying to pick up a date at the family reunion*;* than trying to convince someone that you *ARE* not an inbred illiterate that wants to fit in"
FIFY... in the spirit of not wanting people to think Im actually illiterate.
"Wish each other well"? WTF, man? Please tell me you have had way too many hits of Ecstasy and aren't serious! My cousin told me last week that he doesn't hate bama anymore. His funeral was Wednesday. You can send donations to me in lieu of flowers.
I have to work in Alabama quite a lot, so I've picked up on what the lines of good sportsmanship are...and totally ignore them. Even though I have friends that are tater-diggers, I will still cut them no slack.
Just for future reference, just re-reading your posts just once before you hit the "Post Reply" button might save whatever bit of "I Learnd English Real Good From the Unuversity of Alabama" pride you have left.
I can be brutal (just ask Ryan Callahan, who asks permission to go to the bathroom to this day), but I can also be forgiving.
Just three "Go Vols!" and one "War Damn Eagle!" and your sins will be absolved and you will be welcomed with open arms into the future of football happiness. The choice is yours, my friend. Choose wisely.
Toilet paper, detergent, toilet paper....doesn't really mean as much as you think it does...
I disagree, Saban cares about football very much.
I'm going to explain that one for you because you clearly don't have the ability to sense a bit of sarcasm while simultaneously taking a message board entirely too serious.
So here's what just happened. I made an off-hand comment about Bama being Gods gift to football. Then you blew that way out of proportion. Then I made a comment about all of the reasons that I'm better than you. I didn't believe that based on football, but you seem to be fairly upset about it?
Ok, here's where it gets good... Because I said we were Gods gift and you said God doesn't care I turned around and said that Saban did care! Get it? My joke is that God is Saban! Pretty funny, right?
I hope this assists you in your future endeavors while dealing with people who have a sense of humor.
This is the first time I've been offended in this thread. No one! And I mean NO ONE has better crap than Bama!
Nothin too positive about Bama. In every way !
Now that you've admitted Bama is full of crap, I think this thread can be shut down....
Damn! I missed all kinds of fun!
I guess it seems like I lobbed a stink bomb and ran. I had a whole bunch of weekend eBay orders to fill (hobby turned into lucrative side business) and didn't have the chance to get back.
I have to say that sitting here reading this thread with my morning java has been fun.
I grew up in Alabama if course, but have lived in Memphis for the past 10 years after having lived all over the country, and I have to say that the absolutely most redneck uneducated fanbase in the country is the bammers. Granted, every fanbase has their "characters", but the bammers, by and large, resemble trailer park trash everywhere I go.
Q: What is the best way to get a bammer off of your front porch?
A: Pay him for the pizza.
Glad to see that it is finally excepted that Alabama will be King of College Football as long as Nick Saban roams our sidelines. Plus 1 for common sense in a sea of orange.
It is "excepted"??? In Tennessee, we generally "accept" things. Thanks for stopping by...
