Well it's not a good time to live in NJ. I know there are a couple of other guys that live up here. Stay safe fellas because it looks like this is gonna be a hell of a ride the next couple of days!
Hunker down, and stay safe up there!
Yeah definitely praying for everyone in the way of this storm.
This is could be a historical storm. When the old weather people say they have never . Also with snow fall up to three feet in VA WV areas. Stay safe
Starting to get a little windy up here. I think the next two days are gonna be interesting. I'm glad I got to see my Giants win the WS tonight, because I've probably got another 12 -18 hours before my satellite and power are out. Will somebody send me smoke signals to let me know if UT schedules a news conference in the next couple days? : )
Will do JV. Be safe and we will pray for you. If it was me, power would go right before presser was announced.....
They are talking like Sandy is going to unleash her crazy fury this afternoon. Winds picked up this morning but this afternoon is gonna be worse
Ya'll check back in here after the storm passes to let us know your OK.
Looks like Virginia is already flooding
I didn't even get off of work. I'm pissed off. I hope power goes out so I can GTFO.
Where you at Drizz?
Philly, about 15 mins west. Just windy here, minimal rain.
My wife is a nurse and wasn't able to get off either. We don't know if she will be able to come home at the end of her shift this afternoon. It's just me and the mini me riding it out at home. Hope you are released early from work, stay safe out there hdrizzle21
Will do! That is as soon as power is restored
It's pretty bad. Here at Virginia beach the tide is almost all the way up to the board walk and the waves are hitting the top of the fishing peer. Eastern shore Va is going to get hit pretty hard, please be praying. Really bad flooding.
Stay safe up there guys, this is crazy stuff.
One of my wife's employees lives in Northern New Jersey about 2 miles off the beach. She just sent photo's to my wife of the dock where she and her husband keep their sail boat and it is 10-12 feet higher than normal at low tide...and the storm has not hit yet. High tide is at 7 tonight and even though it is an e-mail you can sense the fear from her and she is no shrinking violet. Luckily she and her husband live 75 feet above the beach. We need to really pray for all the folks in danger.
Luckily we live inland about 40 or so miles from the shore. I couldn't imagine owning beach front property at a time like this. Like you said the worst is yet to come. That full moon tonight and the fact that Sandy is still 200 miles away and all the flooding that is already occurring is just ridiculous
I am stationed in Northeast Maryland, and the wind is really starting to pick up. Lots of standing water on the roads... News is saying it going to get real bad. We'll see how it goes
J_Willy, where are you located? We're up in Warren County on the NJ/PA border. Starting to get windy now, but I think the worst is a ways off. I grew up in Bound Brook ( right off the Raritan River) and they will unfortunately get flooded again, as they do with every storm. Batten down the hatches, boys!
I live in WV ( obviously). It's been raining hard and the wind just picked up. We'll see how it goes....
Everyone batten down the hatches and stay safe.
I guess you're looking at snow?
"I used to walk up a hill to and from school in my days", says every Clemson student ever.
I'm stationed at McGuire, but I live in Mt. Laurel. It's in the Moorestown/Cherry Hill area. Stay safe!
Back at ya! Stay safe!
Its raining and getting windy. There is a driving ban so i didnt go to work i know the company wont pay the fine
