I know many, including many of us, questioned Ole Miss recruiting last year and suspect foul play - when will the haters start hating on us?
Ah I would say it's a little early to get on us. It's the 5 stars that draw attention. They had like 3 of the top 5 overall recruits thinking about them. We aren't there... Yet haha
So what if they do. We're Tennessee and we have no reason to care about what other teams in this conference think about us. Go vols. Screw the rest of them
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
I think if we reach that height it might not be so bad just because we have been there before, albeit its been a while. The shocking thing about Ole Miss is that they have never really had that type of class, that I can recall at least, and it is not like they won the national championship.
If you asked a lot of national writers they would say that TN has a lot to offer in terms of tradition, facilities, and fan support - so i would think that the attacks may not be quite as harsh. Plus, a lot of our big ones, actually so far, have been in state, which will speak for itself.
We are UT and they are Ole Miss. About all that needs to be said. Our program is legendary....they stink

"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
As long as our commits don't start posing with handfuls of cash while they are on campus we should be ok. We have been there before. Plus our state is better this year as well as the wonderful legacy class we can pull.
When our recruits start posting pictures on Twitter of them holding up tons of cash money on campus.
Tennessee = five down years. Ole Miss = five down decades. There's the diff.
Haters gonna hate and I hope we give them something to hate on us about. That means we are winning or we are continuing to build an awesome class or both!
Was just talking to a VFL yesterday and he said much the same thing: "if we keep recruiting like this, people gonna accuse us of cheating!"
I don't think Ole Miss had a boat load of legacies to jump start their recruitment. Most people that remotely even follow recruiting know that Tennessee has a couple of highly rated legacies in this class. I really don't think anything will be made by it unless people start it to start. It's pretty obvious why the two situations are different... JMO on it...
Doesn't sound very statesman-like, Alderman Dykes. You've got constituents to think about!
Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.
Great comeback! +1
What Ole Miss was doing was brazen. Paying kids to visit is going to draw attention. Recruits were telling our players (and those at other schools) that Mississippi was getting kids money just to come visit. It was reckless and obvious.
I think there is a big difference in the tradition here vs Ole Miss. They have NEVER recruited like that, whereas we used to be in a position like that year in and year out.
Smart college football fans have respect for the history of TN and are actually wanting you guys to become better so you can knock off the teams that are currently at the top of the SEC. You will not get hatted on like Ole Miss. You guys have history, Ole Miss doesn't match it.
Go out there and put together a solid recruiting class and work your way back to the top of the SEC.
