I think everbody is putting too much focus on Gruden. Yes, he would make a great splash. But what happens when the great implosion is gone. It seems he is to full of himself to be a great coach to build a team up for three or four years, which it will take for us to get back to the top of the SEC. He is used to the bright lights of MNF and July in Knoxville is not bright lights. Give me a good hard nose coach that will be there for the everyday grind who the kids love and will run through the wall for. Some people live in fantasy land to believe we can have a top five team overnight. Give me a coach that can build character and teams for the long haul. Just my opinon.
As for recruiting, Boise never had a top five class.
