That impresses you? He lost to UConn and Syracuse. He went 7-6 in 2011 and 2010. He hasn't proven he can recruit. He hasn't had success in a subpar conference. Convince me he's suited to lead us back to an elite SEC team, because so far I have seen nothing.
I hear ya man. You are right; the ACC is, well, the ACC. Nevertheless, complete domination is a tall order for any coach. College football is just too fickle for your expectation(s) to be realistic... JMO

But they weren't dominating when he took over...FSU was losing 5-6 games a year (4 out of Bowden's last 5yrs-look it up). He has come in and put them back on top in the ACC.
would love to have Fisher...!
I heard he wants to got to UT to coach James Wilder Jr., Mario Pender, and Christian Jones..... Wait..... lol
You must be drunk, we can't best UF? When was the last time UT beat UF? I don't wanna hear that SEC crap either. U all didn't win a game in the your conference. U can hve Jimbo as an OC, but as a HC & Recruiter no way...
Jimbo and Hart don't like each other.
Noles lose one game and they are out of the NC picture. That's life in what's left of the ACC. The SEC owns college football. 6 in a row and soon to be 7. Go back to your little basketball conference.
We've awoken the Nole Trolls.
You guys are idiots seriously.... Your gonna puff your chest about the SEC??? Dont take credit for what other schools in your conference accomplish...
BTW HAHAHAHAHA @ thinking you would get Gruden
I believe someone is still a little mad over the 1998 championship!! 23-16 Never forget!
Cool story bro
You guys won how many conference games?
Your team looks a perfect fit for the ACC. You'd have to get by Miami first, though.. (Not bloody likely).
LMFAO at any of you UT fans think Jimbo is headed to Tennessee.
Why would he want to seriously start over from scratch?
that's my 2 picks..got agree with you...plus 1+ no need to be any down voting ..
I like Fisher, but I am a Charlie Strong guy. If we had a choice between the two. I would choose Strong. His resume and reputation speaks for itself. But, Fisher is good coach and I would be happy with either. Go Vols!!!!
I really really want Fisher as our coach now, just so these guys can eat crow.
I think he's using us for a pay raise.
I would be amazed if Fisher is introduced as coach of the Vols.

Miami is an irrelevant school in an increasingly irrelevant conference. Once the NCAA rules on the Shapiro findings, there might not even be a program left...
Disagree with this... Recruiting in Fl is not as easy as everyone thinks. Every school in the nation is in there fighting for the top recruits.
Also Florida kids seem to go to whichever state team is currently winning, so FSU has to win in order to recruit the state well.
Ouch that hurts . . . .but not as much as getting knocked out, and I do mean KNOCKED OUT of a National Championship by a huge underdog.
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
Those are my two biggest issues with Fisher, as well. ACC d/n = SEC; recruiting in the state of FL does = shooting fish in a barrel.
"Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat." Sir Robin's Minstrels.
Trolls, please. We know full well how bad we've been over the last 5 years. That's why we're thinking of trying to take your coach. If we don't, AUB likely will, and if you keep him, he'll rape you on a salary increase and extension.
When we say the SEC is much, much, much better than the ACC (and it is), we're not talking about our own recent sucky past, but rather the conference as a whole, because getting back to the top of the conference is the standard.
And, BTW, we did beat the crap out of the NC State team that beat you guys this year.

At least we have more than 30 people to show up for a home game... Attendance for the Canes looks similar to that of what a NAIA school produces. Btw... Tennessee was the first SEC team to win a BCS national championship.... We might be down now, but it's not like Tennessee didn't do anything to make this conference as great as it is today..
