I just got thru reading his book. Amazing story of his upbringing. I'm really amazed of his humble and thankful attitude. Really makes me look at how I look at things. I really recommend reading his book.
Great book! One of my favorite vols!
I thought it was real interesting he chose not to go into coaching and become a speaker, etc. Plus he had some interesting thoughts on Kiffin.

I read this book as well after receiving it as a Christmas present. I found it both fascinating and distressing to learn what growing up in the inner city is like for some of these kids. Inky's faith based perseverance through adversity is sure to inspire any reader.
I wore #29 in high school for a team that was orange and white. He signed my book "from one orange #29 to another, God is good." God bless Inky Johnson in his ministry.
I finished his book in less than 24 hours and I have a football autographed by Inky on my desk at home. Remarkable man and that is an understatement.
Wes or Ryan, was Inky given an interview for the VFL coordinator position?
I'm not sure he would want it. He spoke about the grind and long hrs in coaching. Now the VFL position wouldn't require that many hours, but I'm sure its still demanding.
But then again, he would be a perfect mentor to those athletes.
