Let's hope that is the case.
It's amazing how deep people dig in the off season Ha. I'll take 7-5. Anything above that is a bonus IMO.
You can judge he was a head coach at a good school and I watched them beat tennessee isiah pead made us look stupid and I said it is a totally different con. bud he is a way better recruiter also when you throw all that together man dooley was just thrown in there I swear they didn't think that decision over very well at picking dooley butch jones will make tennessee slowly climb his way up the sec and not make a joke out of tennessee losing to teams like vandy and start winning in the second half I have never heard of anything like that how do you out play teams every first half then come out and act like you just woke up from a nap I blame that on the head coach for not having his team change his games schemes for the other team and not his players fired up smh
Watch ya know about dem Miami Boyzzz!!!
Cincinnati didn't beat Tennessee. The Vols won that game 42-27...
SMFH your delusional bro he has proven it what had dooley proved and how is he supposed to when he just lost his offensive starters give him a year to get some players in and start working them into the system their year to do something some what special was last year then you lose your veteran receivers and quarterback and some defensive guys I mean come on your going to base dooley which had four years to do something from a coach just walking into a program having his off. Firepower gone which I think tyler bray was a coaches pet under dooley which has no discipline to his players, your going to go right off saying if he doesn't get as many wins as dooley this year then he was a bad pick for tennessee idk how long you followed football for buttt this makes no since to me
What you left out was that, after those down years in the first year at each school, he won that conference title. As stated, he has won 4 conference titles in 6 years as head coach. Dooley got his first HC job at LT becuase no one at a better school thought he would make a good HC. LTs conference is not as good as the Big East. Dooley was a panic hire at UT- hired because of his last name, because he was a former Saban assistant, and because he had a southern accent at a time when many UT faithful hated the west coast guy who had just left us in the lurch. Just like the stock market, past performance is no guarantee of future success, but I feel a hell of a lot better about a guy who has proven he can win before.

My bad man I knew isiah pead ran all over us that is all I remember from that game was him getting like ten+ yards per carry every time he touched the ball it seemed like
That was less than the 20-30 YPC teams were getting against Tennessee in 2012...
That is true I stopped watching them I went to watch them play alabama just hoping for a miracle lol but I had to with so much I didn't get to follow them to close
I meant I had to work so much I didn't get to follow them to much then I took a day off to watch them play while I was headed down there I had a flat on my dodge put on a spare put my flat in my bed once the game wad over my flat was gone had about five alabama fans come up to me needing an air compressor because stupid kids let all the air outta their tires more then likely won't go to another game again after that shat
You don't take a knife to a gunfight, but that is what the VOls have been doing the past few years. Without more hard nose gunslingers, the Big Orange is doomed to the bottom half of the SEC until CBJ can intensify the recruiting fires and convince more 4 and 5 star players that UT needs their talents more that Bammer and the Dawgs. If a football player has enough potential to one day make the NFL, he needs to play and develop early on. HE can certainly do that at present with the Vols and not have to warm the bench with all the other 4 stars at
"Tater U" , "Dawg state", and "Gator tech". It will take 2-3 years of good recruiting, but I feel like Coach J is the man for the job. It is still a mystery to me how we ever got stuck with Kiffin and Doolittle. That dubious duo set the football program back 5-10 years because while the VOls were wallowing in the coaching wars, there were 5-6 SEC teams that we regularly play who were in the top 10 in the country. There again you can't win a gunfight with a knife---a slow and dull one at that!
I agree with is but don't know if your talking about 5-10 years back starting since dooley has departed because I don't think it will take that long id give it 5 at the most with butch he knows what he is doing he will bring tennessee back no doubt atleast competitive wise too much history here can't let a couple of coaches ruin us tennessee has a keeper in butch
I would like to comment that Dooley had superior talent when he beat Jones. He had Rogers, Hunter, Bray, and Rivera let alone all the other people on offense. Any coach besides Saban only dreams about having that talent on that side of the ball. So was jones out coached in that game? I don't think so I think it was just to much talent finally made the dam break on his defense and offense cannot keep up. Their were offenses in the SEC that couldn't keep up even with how bad our defense was this year. Our offense the past two years was "special" when it was clicking.
Tyler bray did have a hell of a game to that day but I hope they had more talent haha its the sec and what do you guys think about ole miss getting all these players?
I have to admit that I am very impressed with CBJ mentality on the recruiting trail. I think we will see the pay-off next year.
