gw - never lived there but am out at least 5-6 times per year on business which I always turn into a few days of pleasure. I know that doesn't equate to the reality of living there but sure do enjoy it when there - despite the traffic, smog, cost of living, etc.
yeah..remeber the saying, it's a great place to visit...but I don't want to live there. The weather is terrific. Take care friend.
My girlfriend currently lives in LA and it is a very different environment. We both come from Nashville and it has given us a greater appreciation for Tennessee, however it is not an experience I would ever cut short. Living in LA is a once in a lifetime decision (if you are like me/her) and you have to make the most of it. He is getting a comparable salary that affords him to live a new and exciting life for now. USC also provides great incentives for its coaches: richly talented area, glamorous lifestyle, celebrity status, prestigious university and football program, driving distance to the beach . He may be living the life right now so lets be easy on him, but in a few years he could be back on the east coast wearing orange .
It still hurts to miss a guy like that, so I hope this GIF will help soften the blow
The more facts come out about this I don't understand how people are taking this personally.
- We offered less money.
- It was a lateral move
- Rumor (We didn't pick him up at airport / give him a full court press) - Why would he feel like he was priority for CBJ
- Any argument about LA vs Knoxville when you are talking about someone you don't know preferring one to the other is clueless. There are tons of things you can do in LA that you can't in Knoxville and vice versa. Maybe Tee likes being anonymous, you know who isn't a big deal in LA and can do whatever he wants with his family and kids, the WR coach at USC. Not exactly true in Knoxville. Also, as someone who has lived in LA, you can have a completely different experience based on where in the city you live (beach towns, hollywood, south bay, bev hills, downtown, etc... are all different).
JMO but I still think his wife had some influence. Of course Im still confused why the simple fact alone that Kiffin could be on the hot seat didn't make him want to leave. Kiffin could end up being a year from now on and he had 3 years guaranteed at Tennessee. Of course he made the decision and he felt better staying and I respect that. Hopefully he will come home one of these days.
"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
- We would have been his third job in 3 years
- If CLK get's fired, do you really think he is going to struggle to find work after the production from those WRs during his time there.
