Said TN offered a preferred walk on
I hate that- hopefully George can get it done or Palardy can do a 180.
And I don't mean a 180 kick- he has got that covered!
Pretty sure we can flip him if we so desire...
Sheist, I really hate that. Given the way crutin is going I wish we'd bite the bullet and put this kid on scholarship.
We can always pull darr's scholarship cause right now palardy does punting and kicking so he's just a waste of scholarship
I understand your comments and can't say I entirely disagree with them. But I think the general train of thought on that is that it would not shed a good light on the program or UT if a scholly was pulled because a player didn't live up to their potential. Right now we need to give elite recruits every reason possible to say yes to Tennessee, not another reason to say no. But your concern with Darr is not unfounded.
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Congrats to Jonathan. Cant go wrong getting a nice scholly to a good school and getting a good education. Sure would of liked to had him on the hill however. Unless George can get-r-dun we will still be in a bad place kicking wise.

IT TAKES NO TALENT TO HUSTLE
I wish him the best of luck. I hope our kicking game will be much improved this year. Does anyone have any kind of update on Bullocks injury?
I was gonna ask the same Q. Bullock could knock everyone out of the rotation if he's back to pre-injury condition. From what I've heard from K'ville locals, this kid is MONEY and easily will out kick Palardy & Brodus. Guess we'll know something soon enough on the broken leg.
O in NC- I would have to respectfully disagree with you in this case as a couple of these guys are going into their 4th year and have done nothing thus far to earn another year's free tuition. The way I see it they have done pretty well for themselves getting 3+ years towards their degrees and everything else that comes with a football scholly (food, books, housing, gear, girls, travel, etc.) thus far. If CBJ and Gang can get a prospect who actually has a chance to produce then it's time to cut 1 or 2 loose if necessary. GBO
correct..other words the free ride is over..like having a buddy drinking your beer and riding around with you..but isnt helping out in the next stop tp refuel and get the next 12 pack..lol
On paper I agree with everything you just said. In fact, Palardy and Darr shouldn't have made if past their sophomore years. But in application I would think that would be a detriment to recruiting. Honestly, there are probably 15-20 players on this team, and more than likely many teams, that never live up to expectations. Defensive lineman, linebackers, defensive backs, wide receivers, etc. But their lack of contribution is not as prominent as the kickers' because there is only 2 or 3 kickers on the roster but many at the other positions(QBs excluded). If the university starts pulling schollys due to lack of contribution, especially going into a kid's junior or senior year, I just don't believe that would sit too well with future recruits. So while I personally agree with you on this, realistically it's just not in the best interest of the program.+1 for the discussion.
Back at you +1 for the discussion.
