Bruno Reagan is a guy to keep an eye on. He was really good over the weekend at the Memphis Nike camp and he just picked up a USF offer last night from the same staff that offered him when they were at WKU.
What's unique about Bruno is that he's only been playing football for 2 years. Prior to that his focus was wrestling and judo wrestling. He starting doing judo when he was 8 and he won national tournaments and placed in international tournaments.
I'm really high on this kid and he says Tennessee has been interested.
A childhood in wrestling and judo kept Bruno Reagan from the game of football but hes wearing the pads now and USF has given him his first BCS offer.

Does he project as a OT or OG? Seems like a no brainer either way to offer him with our needs at O-line.
Likely an interior guy. Could play DL too really depending on team need and eye of the beholder.
Barton always bringing us some interesting news. Thanks and +1.
Wrestling backgrounds and O-linemen should go hand in hand more often. Vol fans should remember another big time wrestler from the state that did well with the Vols. Scott Wells came from Brentwood Academy and started at center before eventually snapping Aaron Rodgers to a Superbowl win for Green Bay. Hopefully UT scouts this kid well because I would love to see a big time wrestler and National Champion Judoka slinging some these SEC DT all over Neyland.
I coach wrestling on the side. These are the type of guys you want in the trenches. They are tough, full of heart, understand leverage and will never give up. Bruno will develop as a football player tremendously over the next couple years. I really hope we offer.
Great to see this. IIRC, his dad was on here a few months ago. He posted some impressive video then. I hope the young man does well and we offer. He looked like a sure tackler with a great motor.
Believe old Fred Weary was also a wrestler as well as a good OL.
I like what I see with this kid. Wrestlers generally make very good linemen because of their footwork and understanding of how to move someone around. With our need on both lines, seems like he would be a good one to offer.

Good stuff, Barton. Thanks for dropping the info.
Your team. All the time.
thanks for the head's up Barton +1
Bingo. Most folks probably remember All-Pro lineman Steve Neal who used to play for the Patriots, he was an NCAA champion wrestler too. Grappling and offensive line play pair exceptionally well.
I wrestled through high school and college. Wrestled with a lot of football players, particularly in college.
These guys are typically very good with leverage and had excellent footwork. If you're successful in grappling, those are just things that you understand inherently.
Getting into football this late I'm sure that he would be a project rather than someone who steps on campus and made a difference from day one but if he has the attleticism and frame it would surely be worth taking a chance On a guy like that.
Wrestlers almost always have "good weight," too as opposed to "bad weight" like me.
According to another article, he has been competing in judo since he was 3 (!), so I imagine that he has exceptional footwork and knows how to use his hands to move an opponent around. Is there any footage of these camps?
Not from these camps, but here are his junior highlights. I'm not sure about the level of competition he faces, but he looks very impressive - especially on the offensive line.

Thanks for posting, general
Atleast if we get Bruno, I think that new MMA cage in the gym might get some use.
If nothing else he can chop Nick Saban or James Franklin in the throat
