no no no I will never watch a game he coaches. Couldn't stand him then and can't stand him now.
You don't like 10 win seasons. SEC championship. And the whole 1998 season? Just asking?
LOL you and Fulmer surely want exchange xmas cards this year wiil you?
There are many signatures in the world....this one is mine!
Why do you all asume Fulmer would jump through hoops to come back, I was let go from a 25yr job I gave my blood, sweat and tears for, They came back a yr later and offered my job back.
I couldnt tell you how much joy I had in telling them thanks but no thanks!
Twitter: @JohnIBarr01 Anybody but Petrino...
He said yesterday he would love nothing more than to come back. Don't worry about that.
To be able to ride back into town shooting the double bird at anyone who had anything to do with his ousting? He'd have to be a much bigger man than the rest of us not to want to do that.
Agree, with that he would have my full support!
This is part of a response I had in another post.
"The man had TWO bad seasons and, by the way, those two seasons were surrounded by (3) TEN win seasons and (1) NINE win season. It's time Vol fans realize that we are in this mess because we thought we "DESERVED" better and look at what that has done for us! Now I'm all for moving forward but when you start going down to "C" list coaches you have to start thinking about bringing Fulmer back. It's by far better than hiring another "Dooley". It brings the stability we need and the staff everybody wants."
For the Phill haters let's take a look at a few coaching records:
Phillip Fulmer/ age:62 (His last 6 seasons)
49-27 with THREE 10 or more win Seasons and ONE 9
Butch Davis/ age:61 ( Last 6 seasons, college only)
48-28 with ONE 10 or more win season and ONE 9
Bobby Petrino/ age:51 ( Last 6 seasons, college only)
55-21 with THREE 10 or more win seasons and ONE 9)
Larry Fedora/ age:50 ( Last 5 seasons *only coached 5)
43-23 with ONE 10 or more win seasons
So, you can take that for what it's worth. However, for anyone to act like Fulmer isn't as good as any of these other coaches that we claim we will be happy with, is absurd. Oh, and just for the people that want to label Phil as "too old"; Fulmer is 62 the GREAT Nick Saban is 61. Just some food for thought.
YES!!! Do it tomorrow!
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
