with a freshman QB and did what Dooley couldn't do in his 3rd year.
Dooley supporters let that sink in for awhile.

Just give it up. The people who can't see what's going on at this point are the people you're never going to convert.
I don't think there are any Dooley supporters left, but if it makes you feel better, have at it.
But, but, but......excuse excuse excuse ....
The excuse makers will be back out in full force by the end of this afternoon.
The point to this thread is a direct response to all those trying to say Dooley deserves another year to get things turned around. The point is good coaches don't need 3 years to win big ballgames and there are plenty of coaches out there beside Jon Gruden that fall into that category.
For people to say we would be setting the program back 5 years if we fired Dooley this year this a perfect example of how flawed that thinking is.

There is so much frustration in the Big Orange Nation with all of us, but I cannot understand why some posters appear to take great joy in trying to belittle others for their support or lack of support for Coach Dooley. Whether you are pro-Dooley or anti-Dooley, this incessant chest thumping adds what to the board? I guess it is better to take it out here than kicking your dog or something worse like that . . .
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
Manzel is actually a redshirt freshman, but point taken.
RS Frosh and your point is useless unless you can say that A&M had the same circumstances in their recent history that we had prior to Dooley's arrival. Try another manipulative approach with some basis behind it.
Why do we continue to beat a dead horse. Two thirds of the topics are the same thing
All you are doing is changing the wording in the topic. Dooley will be here until Hart feels the way you do. And I don't think any of us are gonna change his mind.
And here they are. Thanks for coming.
Can you imagine if somehow Dooley retains his job just how bad it is going to get?
Do you wake up in the morning with one goal, pissing people off?
Not here to cater to folks who are so in denial they need therapy. The truth is the truth some just can't deal with it. Really not my problem.
Be different if this was my opinion but it isn't. It is just what has happened on the field this year.
There is currently no bigger topic in big orange nation. I love to see arguments either way.
Understand but why continue to make new threads that say same thing
It is pointless to lash out at the fans. None of them have coached or lost any games.
I don't know what you expect out of this thread or why you want it. All these threads are the same.
You toss out a coach better than CDD. People give reasons why the situation isn't the same. You always throw in an extra zinger like "with a frosh qb!!!" and both sides roll their eyes because the A&M qb is having one of the best years in college football, and had you just kept it simple you would have had a stronger argument.
Both sides have facts to make their case.
The people who want to give Dooley one more year use the facts of the state of the program when Dooley got here and after.
The people who want him gone use the facts that show Dooley has yet to win a meaningful game and his game management or lack thereof.
The facts that matter right now is that our defense seems to be getting worse, and Dave Hart has the biggest decision of his tenure looming in the near future. I do not know the underlying facts of how Sunseri wound up at UT, or whether Hart trusts and supports Dooley for the future. But, I will support whatever Hart decides.

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
I don't at all think Dooley deserves a fourth year, but come on man. Cut out his cynical crap.
First, Manziel is a special talent, and he was not recruited by Sumlin. No credit due to Sumlin there.
And second, you're implying that he won because he coached up his inexperienced quarterback better than Dooley coached up Bray. No, the defense was the difference for us. When our O had the ball, we moved it and scored. The problem was (and all season has been) the defense. A&M has a much improved defense and UT's is worse. So yeah, Sumlin deserves credit for that and Dooley should get criticism.
Sumlin has done a great job, and Dooley has not. That is your point and I agree. But if you're going to make that point at least use logical and reasonable facts. Don't pull from the Clay Travis School of Shock Jocks for your debate logic. Just makes you sound like an a-hole and won't convince any of the few remaining Dooley supporters.
No matter how many times this discussion is reheated and served, it still tastes like ish.
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
You got a proud Dooley supporter right here. He is my favorite teams head coach. Until he is let go or resigns, I will support him. What's the use in calling for his head? It isn't our decision, ultimately. I support Derick Dooley.
You might support him but you don't even know how to spell his name.
