I'm not in the Knoxville area, but am wanting to listen to Knoxville Sports Talk Shows when I can.
What are the best ones? Please include time of day and which radio station.
Honoring the greatest coach of all-time ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Neyland
Tennessee Sports Radio. Tnsportsradio.com. You can download the app on iphone etc. 7am to 11- Ainge, 11-1- Basilio, 1-3- Chris Treece, 3-5- Swain and Rucker. Except for Basilio, they're all good (imo). I usually listen to Sirius between 11 and 1.
The only one I listen to is EA on Tnsportsradio.
for tenn sport talk
As mentioned, TSR is where its at. Basilio catches a lot of crap, but I enjoy his pot stirring from time to time, especially during these times when all you can help but do is laugh.
www.tnsportsradio.com is your one stop location for all UT sports talk! Former players, great writers, and interesting views and perspectives! Also, TSR has a great, interactive, free app that you can dowload for iPhone and Android devices.
Not a big fan of the sports enema.
TSR is the best in town. Ainge, Treece, and Swain and Rucker are the best of their lineup. I can stomach Basilio in small doses. The new show at 5 is terrible.
^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^
The Seth Stokes guy has been a pretty good addition to the Treece show as well....
Not sure who the guy is that gets on with Swain. I don't like him.
I appreciate that.
Surprised you didn't go Tuberville on Swain today when he called you Wes. That was funny!
Both stations have apps for smartphones as well as being able to listen online. I can only take so much of either station so I frequently go between the two. I must say I have listened to the sports animal for years and have only recently started listening to TSR. Now I find myself tuning in to TSR more often.
There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction. - Winston Churchill
Although I think the board took a hit when you got the gig because you were a great poster on here and I understand that you just can't, with your new job and stuff, post as much but just wanted yo say as much as I love interacting with you on Twitter aviut our beloved falcon and as much as I love you on TSR in the afternoon, I kinda miss you here too.... no homo
If they had been in the studio I might have. lol
Man, I really appreciate the kind words. That means a lot........no homo.
Although 990 in general is lackluster, I do enjoy the segments with Mike Keith on Mondays, the guy from the Houston Chronicle of Wednesdays, Paul Fortenberry, Chris Low, and then Brent Hubbs. Unfortunately most of those guys aren't on year round and other times of year they have garbage about Tennis and Golf, which may be fine hobbies, but I sure as hell don't want to hear grown men discussing either at length.
TSR hands down.... They kill it everyday. Just a lot more fan friendly. I love the text box. The more I listen to Tony he grows on me. Glad I got the app. It's great. Jmo
THE DRIVE on WNOX 100.3 FM Monday-Friday 3:00pm to 6:00pm with Terry Fair and Russell Smith.
You mean the one that spends as much time talking about himself as he does sports?
