I am on the Gruden to Tennessee train as much as others on this site, but we need to be realistic in some aspects of this situation. Do I think he comes to Tennessee geez I hope so but do I think it is a given he will no not at all. That is why I think Hart should offer Gruden, but as well offer another two top notch coaches at the same time such as Stoops, and Chip Kelly at Oregon. Personally I believe Golden, Strong, Patterson and so on are third tier coaches up and comers but not proven at a big time University. Yes Golden coaches at Miami, but Miami recruits itself by just reputation both good and bad. Patterson was great until Big 12 experience this year the adjustment seems a little tough on him, yes a winning record but struggling to recruit. Strong is a great Coordinator and has turned Louisville in a good direction, but Bridgewater was a Hurricane until Shannon got fired so basically Strong was lucky just as we were with the Jarnell Stokes situation right place at right time. The Big East is really a weak conference and his Louisville team playing Tennessee schedule this year would be just as bad or worse. His recruiting ability who knows has talent in Louisville area but big time recruits looking elsewhere as favorites such as Hatcher USC and Quick who may or may not have Louisville in his final teams. But it is just my opinion and whoever we hire I will support fully, even if no one likes them.
20% sounds pretty good to me considering he could have said 0.
