You can't help but wonder if our legacies got together and made a plan: Let's all commit early, recruit others hard and make this a Legacy Dream Team, or at least class.
We talked about this here a few weeks ago. Maybe it was a pretty good idea.

Before this past weekend I would have said no, but after this mini explosion of commitments I say why not? These recruits along with next yrs class would go down as legends if they brought UT out of the basement and back to prominence. Loving this momentum right now! GBO
Ive always thought there were some inner workings, these kids just wanted to see Butch in person and get a vibe with him first
Man - I hope it is so. I think CBJ is the coach for the X's and O's. Now we need more Jimmy's and Joe's.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. They all were probably waiting on a big name to lead the way, which is why TKjr's commitment is so important. I think kids just want to play with good players and the fact that we have alot of good players which are legacies lends toward the possibility of a great class. Now if these kids can pull some other big names in the process, that great as well. Also, look for some of these players to get bumps in their ratings along the way.Future looks bright! GBO!!!
I have a feeling that the 2014 Tennessee class is going to end up a lot like Alabama's '08 class and Georgia's 2011 class...each one was dubbed the "Dream Team" by their respective fan base; both classes came together at time when the program was struggling (Bama had gone through the Price, Franchione and Shula eras and had gone 7-6 in '07; while UGA went 8-5 in '09 and 6-7 in '10) and were viewed as "the class" that would begin the rebirth of those teams, so to speak. Both classes (Bama '08 and UGA '11) consisted of a combination of a wealth of in-state talent that cycle as well as "legacy" players or sons of former players.
IIRC, Bama's '08 class was ranked #1 and Georiga's 2011 class was like 5th or 6th that cycle. I think we have the potential for a top-5 class if we can land the Berry twins, Bates, Chubb, Hurd, Barrs, and Malone. Anything outside of those 7 will be gravy...we will definitely have to scour the JUCO ranks for OL and DL prospects, and we will need another three or four linebackers as well as a corner or two.
2014 could be absolutely GIGANTIC, and it's starting off well.

"What did he do? All he did was score!" - John Ward
its getting harder to take the "wait and see" approach with this regime.. getting pretty optimistic with the latest recruiting developments..
Good post! If Bates commits by the weekend, I'm all in on this theory!
"Never take for granted what it means to be a Volunteer." Peyton Manning
that would be another solid indicator for sure!
Been thinking this as well ATL. Good post. Just curious does anyone know all the possible gets that are available for 2014 that are legacies other than the 3 we have committed and the Berry Twins and Bates? are there others? I'm thinking there were/are.
IT TAKES NO TALENT TO HUSTLE
This seems like a great possibility that this could actually happen. If more start committing early we will have a phenomenal class. Especially since they are recruiting hard for UT to get a top class.
I support this thread!
I'd sure as heck be happy if they have. Especially after what that MS school was able to pull off his yr.
2013. Team 117. Beginning of the new Era.

Snowman, you're gettin' kinda soft. I think bUTch is starting to melt you a little. I hope this week goes down in the annals as "Legacy Week." Thanks RTATL for a great conspiracy theory that we can all get on board with. +1 to you and the snowman. GO VOLS!
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Tough crowd tonight. got DV'd for asking who the non-comitted legacies are for 2014. They must have thought I should've already known the answer I suppose.
Gotcha back wb. Strange what folks get DVed for. I hope it was an accidental one.
We do need another Jimmy. Cheek that is.
Thanks OrangeNCarolina and VolsFan4Life11. GBO!
