I expect to see a team that will be much better at the end of the season than the start. Offensive line talent is as good as anyone's in the country. Isn't always amazing how RBs come out of nowhere and have huge years with studs on the OL? Worley is a Connor Shaw clone with better ability passing. Defensively, y'all cannot be worse than last year. Dooley's decision to go to a 34 defense while fighting for his job still baffles me.
08/31/13 vs. Austin Peay Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) TBA W (1-0) 98%
09/07/13 vs. Western Kentucky Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) TBA W (2-0) 85% Petrino scares UT a bit, but by late third quarter UT will be in firm control
09/14/13 at Oregon TV Autzen Stadium (Eugene, Ore.) 3:30 p.m. ET L (2-1) 95% tough road game, long travel arrangements. Simply too much speed for the ducks
09/21/13 at Florida * Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Gainesville, Fla.) TBA L (2-2) 70% My predicted team to win the SEC East. Interesting to see if Driskell takes the next step or not.
09/28/13 vs. South Alabama Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) TBA W (3-2) 101% Bold prediction: USA leads 7-0 then promptly loses 56-10
10/05/13 vs. Georgia * Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) TBA W (4-2) 80 % Last time Mark Richt coaches against UT. UGA has great offensive talent but little defensive talent. UGA is my nominee to be the train wreck of the SEC.
10/19/13 vs. South Carolina * Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) TBA L (4-3) 40 % Spurrier hates UT, seems to always drop a game he shouldn't. I like USCe to win but wouldn't be surprised by an upset. This is a team where UT matches up very well.
10/26/13 at Alabama * Bryant-Denny Stadium (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) TBA L (4-4) 90% I'm still a stupid bammer Note: I like your chances against us much more than Oregon.
11/02/13 at Missouri * Faurot Field (Columbia, Mo.) TBA W 90 % (5-4) Probably should have y'all at a higher percentage
11/09/13 vs. Auburn * Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) W (6-4) 80% Big game, will be interesting to see both teams at this stage of the season
11/23/13 vs. Vanderbilt * Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tenn.) W (7-4) 70% Might have Vandy favored if game was at the beginning of season. However, Tennessee should be clicking at this point
11/30/13 at Kentucky * Commonwealth Stadium (Lexington, Ky.) W (8-4) 98% Shit happens sometimes like last season
I see 8 wins very easily for Tennessee this season. Worst case 6-6 and best case 10-2 if everything goes right/wrong this season.

Not sure if you are trolling or being nice. You honestly have a lot more faith in us than most of our fans do. Heck, I'm calling for 7-5, and that's being optimistic.
Love your avatar pic, BTW.

Hi rolltide, I like the way you think, especially your comments on Georgia. I've been expecting such an implosion in Athens for some time.
+1 again, rt06. The overall sentiment from here is that we'd be happy to see 6 wins again. Anything more is gravy.
Excuse me while I clear my throat and say welcome to our board. +1 on your input and how you broke down each game percentage wise w an explanation. Very well done! Now, excuse me if I don't shake your hand but, your welcome to post more often. Unless you don't want to which is fine and prolly works better for both sides!
I've been expecting it for a while. This year seems to be year it finally happens. They lost a ton on defense on a defense that finished middle of the road in most categories. A lot has been made of their opening four games. I'm going to be generous and say they go 2-2 during that stretch. Then they play LSU, no team beats up other teams to the degree that LSU does and their limitless DL backups. (I never question a team going after a three star from the state of Louisiana when it comes to the DL.) UT has all the making of a nice upset. Helps that UT has a bye week err USA the week before.
No problem, I was planning on going to the bathroom and not washing before we shook hands.
We had a good stretch of owning Richt, and should have beaten them in Athens last year if Dooley hadn't picked your guy to coach our defense. Hopefully, with better coaching, we can regain control.
Frankly, the best game they played all last year, IMO, was against you guys.
I don't think Sunseri is a ba coach, but simply a terrible fit. I found it surprising too that he would leave his son in Tuscaloosa and take the job in Tennessee. I'd imagine it would be awesome to coach your son. Then again Sunseri is a good coach but he's not a special coach.
Any camp standouts thus far? Any guys that are under the radar y'all expect to have a big season?
Says The Wizard of Oz!
I don't think he would be bad in a situation where Kirby leaves Alabama and we need a DC. He needed time to make his system work. Name escapes me, but the DC for Auburn last year makes sense. Really want y'all to get back. Auburn I want to go 0-13 every season. I'd like y'all to go 11-1 and still baffled by Alabama.
Thanks for stopping in with some good discussion rt06(nothing personal, but I can't bring myself to type your moniker in it's entirety). Like the breakdown and comments on your OP. I would like to be that optimistic but the past few years prevents me from doing so. I believe in Butch and his system, I just think it will take 2 or 3 years to hit the 8-4, 9-3 mark. I do think we'll see a more disciplined, better conditioned, and much more inspired team on the field this year that is capable of an upset or 2. Drop by again some time. +1
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Nice post rolltide06. Spoken like an objective fan of football and appreciates the SEC. I assume you may have graduated from the Capstone in 06?
I have seem several games in Tuscaloosa as my daughter graduated from Alabama in 2011. It was hard for this UT Grad to take, but I have always appreciated the rivalary with Alabama and the passion of the fans.
Keep an eye out for Dontavis Sapp, senior OLB. He was lost in Sunseri's 3-4 last year because he's 6-2, 220. From all the practice reports I heard during spring, Sapp has been coming along nicely and could have a breakout senior year. I'd love to see Sapp step it up this season...we need a 3rd LB beside Maggitt and Johnson.
"What did he do? All he did was score!" - John Ward
Gave you a +1 for the nice post. Preciate you coming over here with something nice to say. Assuming you're being serious of course. I like your optimism. I think we're going 7-5 with an upset of Georgia and a let down in one of the last 4 games. If we get things rolling 8-4 is possible though.
Interesting to see someone else think that of Georgia. I also think its gonna be a train wreck for them. I think they're getting beat by Clemson in the season opener honestly.
"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
JMO, but I think Marquez North the incoming freshman wideout and Woody Quinn a JUCO tight end we just picked up are both gonna come up with big years. Quinn more so then North. Butch loves using the tight end a lot in his offense and the kid has pretty good athleticism and comes up big I think.
That is an educated, well thought and intelligent post... So how come I feel like I'm in a scene from " My Cousin Vinny" and waiting for the rebuttal?
Thanks for the vote of confidence, I think... +1
Please come back anytime! I'm in disbelief. Good luck every game except 1! (Is that too much niceness?) I've very rarely met a Bama fan like this.
I have several Bama fan friends who are as nice as they can be. They just have a few rotton apples in the barrel.
Nice post OP.....very generous in your predictions. 8-4 is not likely, but not out of the question. CBJ's recruiting has suprised us all, possibly the season will also. Even though CBJ has exceded expectations thus far, we are still gun shy from openly hoping for better than 6-6. Many including myself, due to our offense, were blindly expecting to compete for the East last year............It was a very painful season.
Maybe this year will go better than expected and we can regain a little confidense in our program.
Not sure how to respond, but I like your predictions.
