HC-1. Gruden 2. Fedora 3. Strong
The HC guys are plug and play for me. They all have their strong points. Fedora is an offensive guy of the first order. Strong is an outstanding defensive guy. Gruden is an offensive and QB guy. They can all recruit but I give the nod to Gruden because of the excitement level and the name recognition. I would say Fedora is second in recruiting with Strong third.
For me the following is important and plays well for all these guys. They need to keep Pittman and Graham while adding Tee Martin. Pittman has shown me that he is an OUTSTANDING OL coach. Graham is an outstanding RB coach and a Tennessee guy. Add Martin to the list as an outstanding coach and a Tennessee guy. I don't think the Tennessee connection can be emphasized enough. We keep hearing these kids talk about not knowing about Tennessee and it's traditions or they say all the success is in the past. I think the combination of any of the guys above with these three HC candidates would be a winning formula. I haven't gone into a lot of detail because I would like to have some discussion based on these three HC guys.
Can somebody fill me in on the Fedora lovefest?

For the most part, people hear "spread" and they think we'd look like Oregon, A&M, or Florida w/ Tebow.. And they get excited about it.
I hear spread and and think no defense. Rarely do they go hand in hand.
I hear what your saying but I think Florida and Two NC's. Fedora has been favorably compared to UM for what he did at SM.
and who was coaching the defense when Florida won those national championships?
Fair point, but defense didn't win those championships.. Tebow did.
I'm fairly certain that Dan Mullen was the OC for Florida during those National Championships.
I think you are right but make no mistake it was Myers offense. I think Mullen would be in the mix if not for the NCAA sniffing around the MSU program.

Defense definitely won those championships. Tebow scored enough to win and a great D made that possible. Tebow ain't winning many shootouts.
