I think this would be a great idea. Penn st really needs to do everything possible to get away from Joe Pa, Sandusky, and their past and this would be a great start. Thoughts?
Though he did not confirm or deny, Bill O'Brien made it sound as though there will be changes to Penn State's uniforms this fall.

If your idea of tradition is Plain Jane, I guess. My idea of tradition are those other teams you mentioned, especially the one with the orange Power T on the helmets.
My idea of tradition is not changing a uniform that you have worn for the last 50 plus years.
I have friends who are Penn St. fans and they were mad when they added the Nike swoosh to the uniform. I cant imagine what they would think if they changed them. I do like their traditional look. Nothing though is as awesome as ours though.
I agree. IMO PSU has the second best uniforms (obviously UT is my favorite)
JMO Nooooooo. PSU has done enough minus fixing the way people think up there/ culture and doing as much as a university can to help those that were affected by this sick man and the 4-100+ that knew about it for 12+ years and did nothing.
i always thought their fierce-looking mascot would look good on the side of their helmet...

Can someone tell me what a Nittany Lion is exactly? Is it like a lion that knits scarves or something?
nittany mountain is close to campus there- lions from nittany- hence the "nittany lions"- just some of the useless random knowledge that rattles around in my head
We were talking about this a bit in the office today. My guess is they add names to the back of the jerseys. Some recognition for those who stayed.
Your team. All the time.
That would be a departure from the Paterno era without compromising the overall uniforms. Of course, some PSU fans/alums would even complain about that minor a change.
I wouldn't mind seeing names on the back and a logo on the helmet.
Nothing too major
There's traditional and then there's the orthopedic look. Penn State's has been the latter.
Paterno was making a typically sanctimonious statement with the generic unis. Time to tell him to just STFU about that, too.
Change the threads, PSU. Time to move on.
