I've finally decided to purchase a puppy for the family. Tonight was our first chance to meet the puppies (golden retrievers). I have attached a picture of my son, Peyton, with the three male pups we get to pick from. Need some help on a name fitting for a dog of a Vol family (Smokey is reserved for when I finally convince the wife to let me buy a blue tick). I'm leaning towards General but the wife is not keen on that name. Thanks y'all and GO VOLS!!
Vol fan stranded in the middle of a delusional Buckeye Nation
I named my female Pointer Dusty after Dusty Baker when the Cubs made the playoffs in 2003. Are you a Johnny Cash fan by any chance? If so, I'd go with Cash.
Summitt was my wife's first choice. Can't let her take credit for naming the dog. Give them that and the next thing you know they're gonna want to vote. Lol.
When we get our english bulldog his name is gonna be General. Also liked Rocky and call him rock.
For some reason, most Dog names are two syllables, mine would be Ernie, Bernie, and Reggie, all after legendary Vols.
Checker, ( for checkerboard end zone )

+1 that's a great subtle name
Max (as in Neyland's 7 game Maxims)
There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction. - Winston Churchill
you can also reserve the right to change his name to Dooley if he turns out to be a bad dog...lol
What about Ozzie after the Osbourne Brothers?
Get an early jump on the next Big Orange legend: name him Butch!
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
You're selecting a Golden? Maybe 'Trae'.
Maybe 'Siever the Retriever'?
(I know, it's 'Sievers')
If he barks a lot, 'Loud-one'.
A dog with droopy eyes and big jowls could be named 'Jimmy Cheeks'.

If it's an ugly dog: Skyler McFlea?
Hopefully the loser mentality is sinking in with Auburn. We need to close this thing out now.
I like it. But it might be a tad long as far as names go.
Nice pic. +1
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
