Can anybody explain to me how Ole Miss is all of sudden getting all of these high caliber recruits?? I'm not implying anything but I'm jw how you can go from bottom feeders to having a recruiting class like they have now.
Keep in mind that Freeze and Orgeron are from the same cloth. Makes no sense that Ole Miss is recruiting so strong. But, if you watched them play this year you were surprised at how they played for Freeze. Hope of a future is what he is selliing. We have nothing to build on as far as recent success goes and can't sell yet.
The word around mississppi is there is some fishy stuff going on down in Oxford
Ole Miss had a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball. I played with their QB Bo Wallace for many years and even baseball. I never did understand why schools wouldn't give him a shot. But they are realing in some big fish down there..
Its not a stupid question until you ask it.
They're not really from the same cloth at all. Freeze was Michael Oher's coach, which is how he ultimately ended up with a position in Oxford when Orgeron was there. He done well every where he's been and the state of Mississippi has talent, especially at the JUCO level. They're in need of quality players = immediate playing time and he's an offensive oriented coach. His player believe in his system too and Oxford is a cool, college town.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
I'm not calling anyone out, but it bugs me when people just assume they are paying for players. I think if a kid wants money to go to a school he can find it. A few posters on here have said Freeze is a good guy, and I think he has just done a good job of selling the rapid improvement in his programming and taking advantage of MSU losing some luster and Auburn being a train wreck. Plus, the #1 player in the country is going there (lucky fir them his brother plays at OM) and they have built up some legitimacy/momentum around that.
Are you from P-town?
I'm born and bred from Pulaski
Since you say you played w/ Bo I assume that your closer to my age. Im just a little older. How do you put up w/ all those crazy people in P-town like Shay, the Carters, and the Pardons. haha
That is not the word around Mississippi. That is the word around MSU fans. Hugh Freeze presents himself as a respectable man and momma's love it. He took a 2 win team and made it a 7 win team in his first season. He is a hell of a coach and recruiter, that's all there is to it.
Well if you think about it, I think they are the ones having the success recruiting because of UT and AU being down. They are getting the guys that we or auburn would be getting. Factor in the fact he's new and had great success in his first year and you have a recruiting machine. Not to mention UGA and Bama having close to a full class already, just seems logical ol miss would be doing good.
Its hard i must say haha
