Anyone have access to his Twitter? I'm hearing he recently tweeted something that makes it seem as if he may be sticking around after all.
Yeah, I think someone may have posted this in another thread, but here's the tweet I believe you're referencing:
thanks 2 all my family & friends for reaching out. 1st time away from home but I'm in for the long haul. All in!

Thanks Ryan. I'd say that sounds like he's had a change of heart. I hope it works out and he puts his talent to good use for us one day.
Yea I posted it on the "Phillips Suspended Indefinitely" article last night with a link to the tweet. FWIW, I am happy to see Phillips return to the fold. When I see a player tweet something I know he is going to later regret, I cannot help but think back to my maturity level at 18 years old. It is so easy for us to look at the situation and shake our heads, knowing full-well the opportunities these kids could be throwing away. I only wish Volnation would react with the same tenacity when that same player makes a big step in their maturation by recognizing and correcting their mistake. We scream loudly when players make mistakes but are nowhere to be found when that player makes the right choice. OKAY…I am off my soap-box. GBO.
Stay up there on that box, sir! Well said.
Glad to hear. He can be a baller for us. Hope he is comfortable enough here to get back on track. I know its hard on these young guys to play away from there family. Especially for a place that wasn't your top choice. It would be hard not to get aggravated.
"in for the long haul" = VFL! Glad he's reconsidering. Decisions made out of frustration are rarely the best decisions.
He might have found out no one else was willing to take him, just like Florida.
Or better yet, hopefully someone told him sitting out a year, getting stronger, learning from the coaches is a plus for him in the long run. From everything I've read about him, he could be an up and coming lineman for us over the next 2-3 years.
