Me fears thou dost waste breathe with this obviously well thought out article. +1 anyway.
You'll probably want to take out the copy and pasted part and just leave the link. You have to pay ESPN to see all of it.
pretty cool article. it basically said we have already bottomed out and are on the way out. we have deep pockets, ridiculous facilities, and a better roster than most would think. the next guy is going to reap the rewards of Dooley's work.
Actually, it wasn't just his opinion but that of other coaches and AD's around the nation. It was one of the very few semi-positive articles regarding UT that I've seen written by an ESPN employee in quite some time.
Confirms what I already knew. The program was in shambles when Dooley got here. It is far better now. Next year will be better. Unless you have sure fire, can't miss big name, stay the course.
With all the negativity swirling around UT, I was hoping to put a positive spin on the program's future. IMO the board is full of obvious, negative post discussing Tennessee; I thought one or two more obvious positive post won't hurt. I'll try to do a better job of keeping my positivity in check...

This is exactly what a lot of us have been posting. Not only can a new coach win at Tennessee in future years, so can Derek Dooley, providing he gets a chance.
+1 to utkdominic
