For those of yall who saw the highlights from the scrimmage, what about that watson run? the move he put on tino thomas was big time. and the acceleration once he turned him around was special. this kid has a chance to be pretty darn good imo.
Where did you see this video?
I read somewhere that other than that run, he had a terrible scrimmage.
I honestly don't remember. The person that said it said he fumbled quite a few handoffs and punts.
I read about the punts the other day when they did extensive ST practice. It was either the last in Ktown or Friday in JC but have seen nothing neg from scrimage on him.
Anybody else's heart jump into their throat when Dooley mentioned substitution errors?
On a positive note, I loved seeing our backs getting to the second level of the D. We were swallowed up so much at the line last year, turning those 1-2 yd gains into 4-6 would be huge.
Its not a stupid question until you ask it.
Man,.as soon as Watson got in the open field, he hit the jets. A lot of nice runs in that video.
Noticed too that the defense was gang tackling a lot, which is encouraging.
Also noticed how most of the players seem to be real complimentary of the time off campus.
His stats kind of show that. I think he had 64 yards with a long of 61 so he didn't do much with his other carries.
That said, the 61 yard run looked great and he has plenty of time to improve.
He looked shifty as hell.
Did you get pics on that $1000 camera?
