The hardest thing for me to get around is most people said this is the year that we throw the excuses out the window and see what we can do. I keep hearing a lot of excuses as to why we lose, why we shouldn't be winning , etc., etc. Was I wrong in thinking that this year was supposed to be an excuse free season? I just have a feeling that if Dooley coaches again next year, we will be using the same excuses again and again and we will be sitting with 6-8 wins at the end of the 2013 season and hearing how we need to give him a 5th year to prove he can win in the SEC.
Trample the Weak-Hurdle the Dead
I get that there has been improvement, heck from what he inherited until now, alot of coaches could show improvement. But is the improvement enough?
Ron Zook, Mike Shula, Rich Brooks, Jim Donnan were all good coaches that competed in the SEC. They even knocked off some teams they should not have beaten.
But they weren't great coaches and they did not win/recruit consistently. Thus they are no longer coaching in the SEC.
GO BIG ORANGE!!
