I played quite a few games this weekend against some "cheesers" so to speak who pulled numerous amounts of stunts that really constitutes cheating a little bit. Some of the tactics pulled were;
1. Onside kicks every kick-off attempt
2. Going for 2 every conversion try
3. Constant No Huddle Offense from them w/ a Scrambling QB involved
4. ALWAYS going for it on 4th Down
5. Some form of "stack the box" blitz that no amount of pass protection can seem to stop
6. Numerous blown sack attempts on their QB's from my top Defensive players
7. Constant "Bad Connection" quits
I have a few others, but those are the main things I ran into this weekend. Do you guys experience the same type of crap & how is the best way you guys have figured out to beat these tactics? I have a pretty good record (35-15), but I would say about 5 of my losses have come from opponents pulling the plug on me when I was making a comeback or me quitting before my wife gets home... lol

Some will say it's "using the tools" that the game gives you. You 'can' onside every time if you want. You 'can' go no huddle all the time. You 'can' on 4th down every time. You 'can' defeat the blocking logic by overloading and shifting the box as the play starts. You 'can' go deep by running verticals across the field and hit the slanting receiver or tight end for massive gains nearly every play.
I'm not much of a button masher. I'm not one to go for it on 4th or onside every time, either. I don't get much enjoyment out of a game when I win 80-0 against the CPU because I defeated the game's offensive line logic. For some, that's what they like. I'm not one of those.
I tried playing online in a league earlier this year and I just didn't enjoy it. In my experience it was more about who could out 'tweak' or out 'button' the other. I wasn't having any fun with it. I've played a few other games online but I had some of the same experiences you did. Either I join the ranks to compete or I fold and walk away. As a result, I stopped playing it online.
Instead, I play with four teams in an offline dynasty. It's definitely more enjoyable for me playing within my 'house rules' than playing online.

That game has so many holes in it . It's pathetic what they do to college and do for Madden.
Poli we just started Season 4 last night, you're missing out on some fun times...told ya not to go with K State :) ...hope the little man is doing good though.
I run my own league and set the ground rules. I dont care what you do against the CPU but against user opponents there are a set of rules. If someone doesn't follow them then I throw out the results. Especially if I see my guys getting like 15 sacks a game or something rediculous like that I'll throw out the results too. Just gotta be strict in a online dynasty.
