Totally wrong ....unlike Mr. Rucker, I AM BEING RUDE....from what has come out since the selection show it has become more and more obvious that UT would have probably had to win the SECCG to get in. Think about this - even Ole Miss was "on the bubble" going into the SECCG....they had a much worse OOC rating and still had 23 or 24 wins going into that game. The NCAA selection committee is a complete joke year in and year out. The "target" is always moving. CCM eluded to that in part of his presser. Unlike football or baseball, the loss of 1 player in a starting rotation of five can be difficult to overcome. UT proved that. This team will be much different and much better next year.
While I understand the ambiguous nature of the NCAA, we could have taken it out of their hands by scoring more than 38 points, and 20 in the second half against bama Saturday. I dont assume we lose to Fla if we get by bama. Why do you? As far as your statement in bold, dont be so anticlamactic next time! Im a big boy :)
And the committee chair also said Ole Miss was in without winning the SECT. They lie Wes. For example, they say they don't look at conference affiliation and how many teams get in. But Ole Miss getting a 12 seed shows they were not getting in without winning Sunday. The committee was not giving the SEC more than 3. So when Ole Miss won, UT was out.
The committee lies Wes. You know better. When do they say something they mean? Not with who you beat? Not with SOS. They say things that they think sound good but aren't true.
"Count it down with me. Five, four, three, two, one.
The national champion is clad in Big Orange!"
Also, to your point of losing 1 guy, take Kentucky as another example.
I do see how this scenario is particularly frustrating for anyone who has been in Cuonzo's shoes. I really hope that this classy coach gains some form of meaningful redemption in the future, not just for my sake as a Tennessee fan, but for his sake as a man.
Can't argue with that but thats 2 years in a row we waited until the end to turn up the heat. I'd like to see hunger start to finish!
Wow. That's pretty telling. Do you think Zo could be in trouble as early as next year if we miss the tourney again? With his recruiting, I think he should be given more time than that.
Also, I'm shocked the committee didn't find a way to get the big blue in.
"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
Thanks for signing up and posting, Tony. Happy to have you here!
Your team. All the time.
