Has our Vols as a 5 seed playing the winner of game 1 matchup of South Carolina & Miss St. I think this is a great draw for us as we match up very well with each if these teams . This scenario gives us a chance to get the additional win we may need to make the Big Dance!
I like our chances, Go Vols!!

We need W's to get in. I would prefer a first round game against a weak opponent to a first round bye... JMO
If we win that one like we should, we will play Bama for a winner take all spot in the BIg Dance.
Bama isn't getting in.... They haven't beat anyone really... Ole Miss has a better shot than them... Bama's RPI and SOS is higher than Tennessee's... I don't get how that is a winner take all matchup.
Just basing that on the "last 4 out " showing Ole Miss and Bama when Tennessee and Kentucky are described as "last 4 in". If it's that close , Tennessee losing to Bama should give Bama our spot unless someone else rises up to take it away from them. I heard what was said during today's broadcast, but I don't trust our position to one opinion on ESPN. Let's take care of business.
Looking at Bama's body of work compared to Tennessee's, you see some big differences. Bama had some terrible home losses and their OOC scheduling isn't that impressive at all. Bama has nothing to stand out like Tennessee does. I don't even see how it's close.
Trust me , I agree with you. But for some reason the "experts" have them close on our heels. We can argue with them . If they are correct in their assessment and it is indeed that close, then Bama beating us on a neutral floor would give them the bid, IMO.
If Tennessee had a first-round game, there would be no NCAAT discussion right now. That's the nature of a 14-team tournament.
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
Explain... I dont get it
Agree - 4 SEC teams are in the last 4 in or first 4 out. I think it comes down to us vs Bama for a spot and Ole Miss vs UK for a spot. I think the SEC can get 4 in.
agree w ya +1
I think we are in. JMO.
It doesn't work like that- beating Vandy or South Carolina will not help.
Beating Vandy or S.Carolina only drops your RPI...
You HAVE to beat Bama.
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
