Sources tell us to expect Tubs to bring former Tennessee OL Coach Sam Pittman to Cincinnati http://FootballScoop.com/the-scoop #ToldHeIsThereNow
Didn't think he would stay unemployed too long. Could be a potent combo with Tubberville. Wish him the best of luck!
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
seen Eddie Gran might be the OC for Tubbs
If that happens, Cincy is building a helluva staff.
Ironic. Wish him nothing but the best because he sure gave the Vols his.
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Wow, Cincy may end up with a better coaching staff than us!
I just really don't see Don Mahoney being a better O line coach than Pittman was...Hope I am wrong but i feel letting him go was a big mistake. How do you let go of a guy who molded one of the best O lines in all of NCAA go. Screw ppl you know and the ties to them this is about putting together the let me quote CBJ "The best staff in football" right? If so he would've been retained

But that can't be. Good coaches don't coach at Cincinnati.
The UT O line would have been good this season with Ronald McDonald coaching it. The Vols had more combined starts across the line (and possibly talent) than anybody else in the SEC this season. Not too hard to coach this bunch.

I don't blame him for bringing in his own coach. Hes been with CBJ for awhile and feels comfortable with his guys then i'm all in. Let CBJ bring in his staff that he feels best with and can win games with. I would like Pittman to have stayed but I don't blame CBJ.
Pitman good coach, but he would have to learn CBJ's system before he could teach it to the OL. Don't know if Mahoney is good coach, but imagine he is, AND he already knows CBJ's system. The more coaches that know the system, the easier it will be to implement it. We all know what happens if a new system is only half implemented - it ain't pretty.
Tubbs, Pittman, Gran possibly at Cinn, WKU hiring Petrino, Tee stays at USC with the devil. We hire one of the few coaches Dools beat and I can not remember anything impressive about Cinn in that game despite that being the best record BJ has ever had. I am trying real real hard to be positive about this but not able to fool myself just yet.
I would have firgured it would be real easy for you to fool yourself.
