What conferences have sent new successful coaches to the SEC? Which conferences have sent the worst coaches to the SEC?

There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.

Its not a stupid question until you ask it.
I'm sure one of the posters that is into research will come up with a good compilation. W/R/K are a bit busy on this little coaching search digging up sources and keeping tabs on the recruiting class.

BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Both insiders (neyland, fulmer, spurrier, v dooley) and outsiders (richt, miles, meyer, saban and bryant) have had success over time.
It doesn't seem to matter where people come from......it does matter that they were successful and established before getting to the SEC. The Derek Dooley type hire (and Lane Kiffin type) have had very limited success in the league over time. Not sure why Hamilton thought either was a good idea.
