There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
I'm probably a bit more optimistic than RockytopATL but he put my time with the Vols in the perfect historical perspective. Those of us that lived through (endured) Battle, Majors, et al have become kind of hardened to many of the things that have been happening lately. When asked about Dooley by outsiders all I could really say was "we need him to be the man" but I really couldn't convince myself that he was and Missouri was the straw that broke this camels back. I'm excited by CBJ but I want to see the product he puts on the field before I get dialed back up to sunshine pumper.
Great thread by the way!

Great posts.....agree with RockytopATL.....but a bit more positive about CBJ. I have been going to games since the mid seventies and am all VOL...........Of course I am not saying that anyone else isn't.........Its just that I'm positive whether we win lose or draw.....I'm still all VOL. All college football programs go through lean times.........Just remember how high and mighty AL fans were when Stallings won the NC.....They thought they had another Bear then spent a decade and a half in mediocrity.....and just think where they will be when Saban retires or moves on............I think I got a little spoiled by the 90's. Like RockytopATL I thought 2012 was going to be the year also, and actually, if you go by the "stars", our roster should have finished at 5-3 in the SEC last year.......on paper. CBJ is a proven over achiever.....he does more with less........According to the "stars" his conference championships at Cinci should have middle of the pack teams......at least I read that some where..........So, I feel a little optimism is warranted.
